@Kyle Putman yeeeee dude nice! One thing I do is send the BGVs and synths/back track stuff out the same bus to FOH That way they can’t fuck with my BGV level, but we’re also SUPER vocal layer heavy so it’s almost a synth pad some times lol

@Kyle Putman your stuff is mostly focused around ambience and lead vocal so I imagine it wasn’t to detrimental haha. This is some of our vocal productions, as you can imagine, the song is NOT the same without these layers lol (specially as the song progresses/ bridge) https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/agf0kt732t65it6rfsmuu/PL-IBW-LIVE-Vox-FX.wav?rlkey=la8ijahjmx7yy7ske3cbyxpj4&st=3r763u58&dl=0
DI tracks
What do you guys look for when receiving midi, raw DI or vocal stems to produce? I’m talking the details as well: your opinions on wavs vs mp3s, preferred Hz and whether you think it matters, dual or quad tracked guitars, organization of files etc. My input would be to include an exported tempo time map to accurately transfer time sig changes and bpm between DAW’s.

Tempo maps matter a lot, specifically when they’re a lot of changes which I know you like LOL. I usually only quad track guitars on specific parts if I’m adding more depth to a guitar spot or something. vocals I love tripled tracked choruses to get width, and double tracked harmonies. But hey sometimes you just gotta work with things you’re given 😆

@Kyle Putman NGL I leave your center guitar out of the mix cause it’s in the way of the lead vox haha. But I’ve used it if you did a better take in a section, I pull pieces of it 🫡
