God’s Perfect Timing in Friendship
One month ago, I was crying to my boyfriend and praying because I felt like I had no Christian community and no friends who truly valued me. While I was praying those prayers, something amazing happened. These past few weeks I’ve been hanging out with some incredible women, and we realized we were all praying the same prayer for community. God connected us so perfectly, and I love Jesus for His intentional timing and the way He’s been preparing my bridesmaids for me. 💛 And here’s the wild part: those women aren’t just new friends - they’re YOU, the seven members of this group. I’m beyond thankful for your love and support. I love you guys so much. ✨ If you had to describe how God has shown up in your friendships lately in one word, what would it be?

The one word I would use to describe how God is shown up in my friendships lately: breakthrough. I also am very familiar with how lonely post-grad life can be. This summer I moved into a house with two girls I did not know. I work remote, so I often would not see them during the day or later at night. It felt very isolating, especially because everyone I knew moved away or back home. This led me to searching for people who I thought were my friends but loved my sin more than they loved me. It wasn't until I fully committed to following Jesus that I finally prayed for a new community of friends who love Jesus and could love me. I believe that God heard and answered my prayer because now I am part of this amazing group of women who are passionate about who they are in Christ and serving others. Thank you, Luana, for introducing me to this group!

Welcome Home (I've Been Waiting for You)
Hi sweet friend, I’m so glad you’re here. This group started in the most ordinary but special way. One night, I was sitting on my balcony with my boyfriend, eating dinner, sipping wine, and dreaming out loud about how amazing it would be to have friends who shared the same passions as me. I kept imagining what it would look like to create a space just for women like us, a place to laugh, learn, and feel less alone. When I woke up the next morning, my sweet boyfriend had surprised me by creating this group. Honestly, that moment was such a motivator for me. It made me realize even more how much I want to learn to love and serve him better, and also how much I long to hear from other women about the unique ways they pour into their homes and relationships. A little about me: I’ve loved homemaking for as long as I can remember. My mom worked as a house cleaner when I was little, and I’d tag along to help. That’s probably where I picked up the joy of noticing details, like folding towels just right or wrapping a gift so it makes someone light up. Even through college and now post-grad, I’ve realized how much those small things matter. Creating a cozy, cared-for space is something I can’t help but love. But here’s the truth: being in your 20s is not easy. I know from personal experience, it can feel lonely, confusing, and like you’re supposed to have it all figured out when you really don’t. That’s why this group matters so much to me. How to Housewife is here to remind us that we don’t have to do it alone. It’s a place where we can laugh about the flops, celebrate the little wins, share what’s working in our homes, and pour encouragement into one another. Think of this like a cozy sisterhood. We’re not here to be perfect, we’re here to grow together and make homemaking feel life-giving, not heavy. Now I’d love to hear from you! To start us off, share your name and your favorite Bible verse right now and why it’s speaking to you. I’ll go first in the comments so you can see an example. I can’t wait to get to know you, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. 💛

My favorite verse right now is Isaiah 43:18-19 "Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." This verse is my favorite right now because it reminds me to not look back on my past. It reminds me to look at what God is doing in my life right now and what he will do in the future. It gives me joy and hope to trust that he is working all things out for good, and it reminds me to keep my eyes fixed on nothing but Jesus.
