Homeopathy Language
I don't know if it was a dream last night or a fleeting thought as I was drifting off to sleep, but I was thinking back to one of my very first calls I dropped into with learning more about homeopathy. I almost felt like they were talking a different language - using words like 'miasm', 'simillimum', 'fibonacci sequence', 'kentian homochord', 'constitutional remedy', 'direction of cure'. My mind was like 🧠*what*the*actual*heck* are they talking about?! 4 years later, here I am talking in this language myself and often forgetting that most people don't have the faintest idea of what any of these words mean πŸ˜… It's my hope that by hanging around this community long enough, you can pick up on the language and true essence of homeopathy too! Not just to confuse the heck out of other people, but so you can feel empowered using and reaching for this potent medicine when the needs arise for you, your family, loved ones and neighbors! SOOO . . . my question for YOU today is: What words and terms in the homeopathy world are you currently super confused by and have no idea whatsoever what they mean?! πŸ’œ

@Stephanie Prather I ditto that!!
What's the difference between sugar pillules & liquid remedies?
Not a whole lot to be honest! They both carry the energetic blueprint of the original substance, so they both will work the same way in the body - stimulate the innate healing response when given the right dose in the right frequency, with the best-fitting remedy. But here's why I LOVE working with liquid remedies over sugar pillules for most cases: - the liquid remedies can last for YEARS. - every single drop in a liquid remedy has the frequency bound to it, so you can be absolutely positive that every drop you get will be a dose of the remedy v. in sugar pillules, sometimes only certain pillules get coated in the remedy frequency (it's why you have to take 4-5 remedies every time you take a dose to ensure you get some of the frequency) - liquid remedies are extremely versatile - you can dose directy under the tongue or simply add a couple drops to water, for babies & animals they are easy to rub on the gums or drop between the shoulder blades or even use topically in certain situations - liquid remedies can be great for those with lactose intolerance who can't handle the lactose sugar pills What questions do you have about liquid versus pillule remedies? Have you been surprised at how easy it is to use the liquid remedies?
I find the liquid much more potent and the fact that I can dose more than one remedy in water at the same time and not have to dissolve under my tongue is definitely a plus
Nat Mur
"the quiet keeper" Nat mur is a remedy we often reach for (in chronic cases) when there has been a history of substantial or supressed grief. Now the thing that separates Nat Mur from the other well indicated "grief remedies" is the Nat Mur doesn't show much emotion outwardly. They hardly ever shed a tear and appear well put together from the outside. You might never know the Nat Mur is carrying so much within - as they may feel that they are capable of carrying the burden themselves rather than being vulnerable with others about what has been "pent up". There's often been a history of hurt (particularly in close and intimate relationships) that never got fully expressed or resolved. And over time, the suppression of that emotion tends to find some sort of other outlet - in the form of physical symptoms. Often the gut, skin, sinuses and even the throat are where a Nat Mur will store their emotions. The body will start speaking for them, because they just can't speak up for themselves. Nat murs are very loyal, honest and deeply principled. They remember EVERYTHING. They can hold a grudge not out of bad intent, but because the hurt went super deep for them personally and they just couldn't process it. They are often the ones others lean on - very dependable, but silently suffering internally. Now Nat Mur is actually derived from salt, so it only makes sense that one of a Nat Mur's main cravings is SALT! πŸ§‚ Other key notes of this remedy include: - sensitivity to the sun - a tendency toward dryness (mucous membranes, lips, skin) - headaches - emotionally - they resist consolation & being comforted can actually make things worse for the Nat Mur At the core Nat Mur is a person learning to find and use their voice, to let people in, and to grieve what needs to be grieved so the body doesn't have to keep carrying that burden for them. Do you know a Nat Mur in your life?

The ABCs of Homeopathy
a) ARNICA b) BELLADONNA c) CHAMOMILLA If you are BRAND new to homeopathy, this is where I recommend you start with homeopathic remedies and get familiar with remedy notes, indications, and dosing basics! Why start here? Arnica, Belladonna and Chamomilla are the top 3 most commonly indicated homeopathic remedies for first aid situations. There's probably at least one use case you can think of even in the last week where you could have used one of these remedies to support your body or a loved ones. Arnica - you've probably heard of before. Arnica is a go-to for muscular strain, trauma and bruising, any immediate bump, bruise or blunt force trauma to the body. Key examples of when to use Arnica - Kid falls off a bike and gets bruised up, you take a gnarly fall while skiing, you get in a car accident and need immediate physical (and emotional) trauma support, you have an appt at the dentist where they will be poking & prodding around your gums, inducing some sort of direct bruising/trauma to the mouth. Belladonna - think of this remedy when there is heat, swelling and throbbing pains involved. It can be used to support the body through a fever that seems to come on suddenly and can even support the body through skin rashes and other first aid ailments where heat, throbbing and sudden onset are the main characteristics. Chamomilla - this remedy is one of the ones that converts people to true believers in the power of homeopathy! A baby that's getting their first teeth in, who can't be consoled. A couple drops of Chamomilla on the gums and baby and parents can sleep for the first time in WEEKS. That's just one example. Chamomilla is derived from the Chamomille plant and is well indicated for supporting soothing and calming of the body. Even if you have an injury that is just chipping away at your nervous system and you need gentle pain relief, Chamomilla can be well indicated. Or a nervous pup who just needs a bit of emotional support. DOSING: It's super simple to start dosing.

I consistently use Headache blend and Rhus Tox for my inflammation. It definitely helps curb my migraines and tension, as well as improves recovery after workouts.
