Setting up Garnishments in Gusto & Mapping Correctly
Hi @Cheryl Lanahan I've been meaning to make it into one of your group bookkeeping working hours! We received a Income Withholding for Support for one of our employees. I set it up in Gusto but I am not sure how to correctly map it and what to name the account in QBO.

The account in QBO should be a liability account (2xxx) and you can call it Garnishment or [employee name] support withholding. Does Gusto pay this or do you remit the payments? Either way, this account should zero itself out every month. Funds from the employee wages go into the account. Payments to the state would come out of the account. Let me know if I can help further!
