Hi Wealth Pack, When I opened up the Charles Schwab account, there was a warning to be aware of deceptive leads. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but I got an email from someone claiming to be an 'Independent Client Service Specialist from Schwab'. I'm just wondering how much information he is privy to.

Hi Lily, sorry you had to experience that. Charles Schwab has been a reliable company for many years, and I've known them as a client for over 20 years. Are you sure you were on the correct website? I've never received a phone call from them, so that warning sounds more like a fake Charles Schwab site and your computer was warning you before you proceeded—something about it wasn't legitimate. Typing in one letter incorrectly can take you to the wrong site that appears to be CS.
made the move ...
Well, today I finally got off the research/procrastination/fear treadmill and actually did My FIRST EVER transaction with ... Vanguard. I was a bit intimidated because Vanguard's environment doesn't seem as welcoming as Chas Schwab, but I plowed through and made the transaction. I've already opened a Chas Schwab Account so for now as a beginner CS is where I will continue educating myself and becoming more confident.

CONGRATULATIONS— way to go! Breaking the chain of fear that once held us back and stepping boldly toward a fuller, better life. So proud of you!
I DID IT!
Hello: Thought I'll share this with the whole group instead of just in the comment section of one of the group member. I had $500 sitting in my brokerage account with Charles Schwab and just yesterday I moved it to a SWPPX Charles Schwab S&P 500 Index Fund (no fees). I know it sounds like I know what I am talking about but I just learned this by watching the Wealth Twins videos. I couldn't worry about knowing it all (it's a lot) so I just started with learning how to start and then moved on it. The Index fund was best for me because I wanted to start at a low risk, low maintenance and stress free level and I did it! Charles Schwab agent walked me through it step by step until I completed my first transaction. I did specify I want to invest $500 long term, not trade and I wanted to buy Schwab S&P $500 Index fund to be clear cause it seems like everything was trying to default to trading (trying to do it without help). I had learned to stay away from trading and marginal until I knew what I was doing. The agents will not tell you how to invest (at east the one I had did not) so I had to know that to start. Hopefully this helps you to know you are not alone.

I saw the same video and that's why I did something with the $500 sitting in my account. Now I am learning how to set up automatic investing although it will be a small monthly amount. I am creeping now but soon I'll be crawling to another step.

@Tamara Harrison Sounds good! I did not know you had to have a brokerage account to make investments. This was huge for me to learn after all these years. Start somewhere saving to invest now because before you know it, 62 is right around the corner. In other words, it happens so fast. It happened to me.
Too late to retire well
When you've waited too long to think about retirement and find it is 💥 boom right around the corner, do you begin investing at 0 to $25/month and keep working? I love my work, but I am now realizing I can't do it as long as I thought I could. 🤔 Need to make my money start to work for me at turbo speed. Suggestions appreciated.

Hopefully this helps you to know you are not alone. I am at retirement age and just learning how to invest but we are never to old to learn because what we learn now can be taught to the younger generation. Nothing wasted because life goes on even when we are no longer here.

@Daynan Davis I started watching "6 Things You Must Do Before 2026", " How to Build Wealth As A Beginner", and "Common Mistakes with Brokerage Accounts" . Hope this helps.
