Great First Call, Thanks to those who joined :)
Was great to have a quick chat with some of you on the call about what you would like to work on and your ambitions to become full time artists!

My biggest challenge right now is getting work as I'm new to live portrait painting (I've produced lots of work in studio but just not live ) , so getting name out there x
Quick one on video calls with clients 📹
Been meaning to share this for a while. When a couple jumps on a call with you, they're not just sizing up the painting, they're picturing what working with you is actually going to be like. A messy room in the background does more damage than you'd think, even if the work itself is brilliant. Doesn't need to be a studio, just needs to look like you've thought about it. Few easy wins: - Same spot every time, ideally with a bit of your work visible behind you - Tidy the frame, not the whole room - Face a window if you can, good light does a lot of heavy lifting - Plain and calm beats busy and full It's a small detail but big impact, If you've already got a setup you're happy with, drop a photo below, it'd be good to build up some real examples for anyone just getting started. Kind regards Huw
