Welcome! 👋 I'd love to get to know you. Tell me a little about yourself: - What's your name? - - If you're an NP student, what program are you in (FNP, AGACNP, PMHNP, PNP, WHNP, etc.) and where are you in your journey? - - If you're not in NP school yet, what's motivating you to consider it? - Drop your answers in the comments and let's connect!

Hi! I’m an FNP student with 5 years of bedside critical care experience. I started as a new grad in the ICU, so I have been struggling to switch my clinical reasoning from bedside to provider, but also from critical care to primary care. I have 3 more clinical practicum rotations to complete, and if all goes well finding preceptors I should be graduating this time next year! ☺️
START HERE- Welcome
👋 Welcome! If you’re an NP student overwhelmed by how much you’re expected to know, you’re in the right place. I’m Nikkie, an Acute Care NP and NP educator behind Nikkie the NP. My goal here is simple: Stop memorizing random crap. Start learning how to think like a provider. 🧠 This community focuses on mastering the 3Ps: Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and Physical Assessment, with an emphasis on actually applying what you know and using diagnostic reasoning. Expect: 🧠 Simple breakdowns of complex concepts 💊 Pharm that actually makes sense 🩺 Clinical reasoning and application 📚 Study strategies and practice questions 🔥 A little tough love along the way This is a community, so ask questions, participate, and share your wins. 👇 Introduce yourself and tell us what you’re studying and what you struggle with most. Let’s get to work. 💪

Hi! I’m an FNP student with 5 years of bedside critical care experience. I started as a new grad in the ICU, so I have been struggling to switch my clinical reasoning from bedside to provider, but also from critical care to primary care. My biggest struggles are (outpatient) antibiotics and remembering what is best for gram neg/pos. The number of antibiotics and their MOA/indications/coverage etc is overwhelming
