Capitalizing words to denote Something Important
Similar to the idea of 'anchoring' a custom GPT with a unique name (i.e. GiovanniGPT), giving a proper 'name' to a specific piece of information or desired output appears to be helpful, too. Apologies if this has already been covered in the course itself or another post! I just thought of it and figured I'd share "just in case" it's useful someone else. **Embarassing Example using Character Roleplay GPT** [Ooc instructions for Character Roleplay: Now, I'd like to explore Two Different Endings for this specific scene. In the First Ending you'll write, (insert First Ending scene description). In the Second Ending you'll write, (insert Second Ending scene description). We will continue our roleplay further after the Second Ending. Now, you will write the First Ending where (insert First Ending plot point happens). Be sure to use appropriate storytelling and pacing techniques to make it believable.] +++ The GPT's First Ending reply was appropriately labeled [First Ending: (Insert creative title)] and correctly did as I asked. In it's reply, there was a break line and this side note from the GPT: [Note: The Second Ending, where (insert Second Ending plot point happens), will be explored in the next response.] And it correctly did as I asked when I had it Continue 👍

@Luke Skyward Have you seen a significant difference between weight given to capitalization vs bolding? Might be interesting to A/B test!

@David Gabel That makes complete sense! "Capitalizing" a word can *also* mean using "full caps" depending on the speaker's intent (which is even more confusing). For clarity's sake, your differentiation is perfect! :)

The Future of Work is Here - Insights on how to prepare🙌
Microsoft released their annual Future of Work report and this time around it’s not about remote work, it’s about AI. (slide numbers in brackets) - Knowledge workers with ChatGPT are 37% faster, 40% higher quality but ~20% less accurate. Simple UX solutions to solve this are possible. (6) - From a survey of enterprise users of Microsoft Copilot 365 (7): -- 73% agree that Copilot makes them faster. -- 85% said it would help them get to a good first draft faster. -- 72% agreed about spending less mental effort on mundane or repetitive tasks. - Most early studies have found that new or low-skilled workers benefit the most from LLMs. Less skilled workers improved by 43% vs more skilled who improved by about 17%. (8) - Assistant needs to be paired with provacators i.e. LLM-based tools that challenge assumptions, encourage evaluation, and offer counterarguments. (9) - AI can help with breaking down simple commands into micro-moments and microtasks, improving overall quality and efficiency. (10) - Analyzing and integrating AI-generated information may become more important than searching and creating information. Skills not directly related to content production (leading, social interactions, trust issues, or emotional awareness) may be more valuable. (11) - Prompting is hard, but people are getting good at it. Fine-tuning/using LLMs to generate prompts is making it easier as well. Prompt templates are helpful for end users. (12-14) - Highlighting errors/uncertainty percentages can help balance reliance on LLMs. Prompting can be complemented with co-audit tools to check LLM outputs. (17-18) - Generative AI requires self-awareness and well-calibrated confidence. At the same time, it can help in getting there too. (19) - Creative activities are a process and LLMs can help across different parts. (21) 69% of Bing Chat conversations are in domains oriented toward professional tasks. (22)

My favorite point from your summary is: Generative AI requires self-awareness and well-calibrated confidence. At the same time, it can help in getting there too. (19) It's my favorite because that means that ChatGPT/AI is actively forcing people to *become smarter*, not dumber and more reliant on AI (which is what so many are afraid of).

Indeed! Trusting in your abilities to 'get you want' while working with ChatGPT is so important - and once you see success, it continues to build confidence in a nice, affirming cycle! :)
Sunday Brainstorm Booster🚀
HAPPY SUNDAY ALL! Last night's workshop was awesome. Great to meet many of you - let's do it often! A fulfilling Sunday delivers on 2 things: - Gratitude practice & deep reflection on the past week - Ideating and planning for the week ahead We all have wonderful ideas at times, but that's often where they end... Appreciate this - looking forward to testing! :)
Accounting?
Is there any AI software/plugin/GPT to help me track business expenses? I'm really bad at doing it regularly, so I end up doing it all at the end of the year for my tax return. Of all the mundane tasks that must be done, I would love something that would do this for me. :) (I'm a solopreneur.)

This isn't AI/GPT-related, but (if you're in the U.S.) I've used Intuit QuickBooks Self-Employed for years. It automatically tracks any cards/accounts you want for business expenses and income, you can create Rules for transactions so they're always auto labelled and sorted in the future (including Personal vs Business), AND if you get the TurboTax bundle you can automatically export ALL of your Schedule C info into TurboTax. I'm not affiliated with them; I'm just grateful how easy it's made taxes for me as a solopreneur. However, as with all financial advice, 1) I'm some rando on the internet 2) I know nothing and 3) your situation may warrant another solution! :)
