📚☘️WHY I CHOSE IGCSE (S)📚☘️
**INFO SLIDE:** 🍀After the7th year, you have to choose which IGCSE subjects to continue studying in your third and fourth years. They're sorted into two classes - S, for science, and E, for economics. We get to study additional maths, ESL, bio, physics, chemistry and computer science for IGS classes. For IGE classes, only the regular subjects are available, but we get to study EFL, Global Perspectives and Economics (also Psychology!). Naturally, there would be an advisory session for the whole grade (but I've always decided what I wanted to do). I will call the IGS classes "natural science" and the IGE classes "social sciences" to avoid confusion. 🍀So why did I choose natural science when it seems clear (and quite obvious, to be frank) that 1, it's gonna be less interesting than the social science classes, and 2, girls would prefer social over natural? **disclaimer: my reason is based solely on my opinions and my own abilities; you may feel differently about what suits you. You can also use my reason to just how YOU would choose your subject in the future** ❣️I CAN DEVELOP MY ABILITIES IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE❣️ 🍀For those who know me (and those who don't, too), I am great at hard skills like writing, logical thinking, maths, etc, which is what the natural science classes tend to teach us more about. If you're better at social skills like speaking and presenting, choosing social sciences would be better. 🍀So why is it essential to develop your abilities rather than picking what seems to be more appealing? Well, scientists have proved that at the age of 12-18 y/o, our brains work the hardest and the best to ensure a healthy and fast development for us. We learn many new things much more quickly in this stage of life, and our attitudes, skills and knowledge base are expanded daily. That is why, at this stage, teenagers should focus on doing things that enhance these skills and abilities. 🍀Of course, there's nothing wrong with choosing the class that seems more appealing or appeals to more of your friends - but remember! Your benefits matter the most.
