📌 WEEKLY RECAP: What We Covered + What’s Next
By now, everyone in this community should have had the opportunity to move through this week’s five core conversations. If you haven’t watched them all yet, I highly encourage you to go back—because none of these topics stand alone. This week we talked about: • Boundaries – because burnout isn’t always about doing too much, it’s often about allowing too much. • Operations – because growth without structure leads to chaos, not freedom. • Marketing with clarity – because being visible means nothing if you’re not understood. • Consistency – because motivation fades, but systems don’t. • Alignment – because when business feels heavy, it’s usually asking you to evolve. Together, these are the foundations of thinking and operating like a true business owner—not just a creator, not just a hustler. 👇🏽 Reflection prompt (please comment below): Which of these five resonated with you the most this week—and why? This is not about right or wrong answers. It’s about awareness. Starting next week, we’ll be kicking off a community challenge designed to help you apply what we’ve been talking about—not just consume it. More details will be shared soon, but here’s what I can tell you: • It will be practical • It will be focused • It will help you tighten something real in your business • And it will require participation, not perfection If you’ve been watching quietly, next week is your invitation to step forward. We’re not building businesses on vibes—we’re building them on intention. Stay tuned. The work continues. 💙

@Abiodun Emmanuel thank you for taking the time to engage and for the kind words about the intention behind the community—I genuinely appreciate that. I’m always open to thoughtful dialogue and learning, especially when it’s rooted in lived experience. I did notice that you just joined on January 11, and before moving forward with suggestions or ideas, I’d love to better understand your background and see some examples or receipts of communities you’ve personally built or supported. I believe context and experience matter, so I’m happy to take a look if you’re open to sharing. Either way, thank you again for being here and for participating in the space.
Too booked too busy
the holiday season is always my busiest times. Being booked is overwhelming for me. I always get done everything that needs to be done but there may be a few meltdowns here and there especially this past year. I felt like too many changes were happening and everything was falling apart. It was exhausting and stressful to say the least if we are being honest. But I was able to turn it all around and have the best year since my business started which I am so grateful for. It took a lot to get there though

Tishanna, thank you so much for sharing this so honestly 💙 What you described is real—being booked can be such a blessing and incredibly overwhelming at the same time, especially during the holidays. I’m really proud of you for pushing through the hard parts, honoring your emotions, and still finding a way to turn things around. Having your best year yet after all of that speaks volumes about your resilience and growth 👏🏾✨ I’m really excited for what this year is going to bring for you now that we’re implementing systems and starting things with more intention and support. You’ve already done the hard part—you survived and learned. Now we get to refine and make it lighter. What are some things I can help you with right now? Whether it’s tightening up your operations, creating boundaries around your time, planning for busy seasons, or even just talking through what feels heavy—I’m here
Burnout as a result of lack of systems
I loved this. Because the go go go mentality and reactionary flow is definitely causing me burnout. I have the systems and processes in my head but I haven't put them into action. This was my reminder to do so!

Bestieeee, I love this level of self-awareness. You are NOT alone — the systems living in our heads be working overtime while we stay in go-mode 😅. Let this be your gentle nudge to take one small step this week… not everything, just one. We’re slowing it down, getting it out of your head, and into real life together. I’m so glad you’re here
Welcome to The Operator’s Room
Welcome, I’m really glad you’re here! The Operator’s Room exists because a lot of entrepreneurs have great ideas — but not enough support when it comes to the technical and operational side of business. This is not a hustle space. This is not a “post every day and manifest” space. And this is definitely not a one-size-fits-all space. This room is for entrepreneurs who want: • clarity instead of confusion • systems instead of stress • boundaries instead of burnout • and businesses that support their lives, not consume them Inside this community, you’ll find: • short educational videos • conversations around operations, structure, and sustainability • prompts that help you think like an operator, not just a creative • and space to ask real questions without judgment A few important things to know: • This is a respectful, solution-focused room • We share experiences — not unsolicited advice • Growth is encouraged, not forced • Progress over perfection is always welcome here You don’t need to have everything figured out to be here. You just need to be willing to stop winging it. Take a moment to introduce yourself and share: 👉 What you’re currently building 👉 One area of your business you want to strengthen You’re in the right room.

@Tishanna Strickland Hey Tish! Welcome to The Operator’s Room — we’re so happy to have you here! First of all, congratulations on building Scent 2 Be Candles since 2020 👏🏽 That alone says a lot about your consistency and heart for what you do. I love that you’re rooted in genuine relationships and ready to elevate your brand to match the rooms you’re stepping into. I’m really excited for you because this space is going to give you practical tools, clarity, and confidence to support that website revamp and, more importantly, help you build consistent marketing and stronger brand visibility without burning yourself out. And don’t worry — I’m absolutely going to challenge you (lovingly 😌) to keep stepping out of your comfort zone so you can hit those goals you’ve set for yourself this year. Growth lives right there. So proud of you for pushing yourself and investing in your business in this way. Welcome again — you belong here, and I can’t wait to see what you do next

Hey Operators 👋🏽 If you haven’t already, this is your reminder to head over to the Classroom and start working through the lessons. Everything in there was created with intention — to help you tighten up your operations, think more strategically, and move your business forward without burnout. This isn’t about binge-watching content or trying to do everything at once. It’s about: - Taking what applies to your business right now - Implementing one thing at a time - And giving yourself permission to learn, adjust, and grow Even if you just go through one lesson today, that’s progress. Momentum is built through small, consistent action. And don’t forget — use the community. Ask questions, share takeaways, and let us know what’s clicking for you. That’s how we all level up together. Proud of you for being here and choosing to do business on purpose. Now go tap into that Classroom 👏🏽✨
