I started my business out of self-defense (ageism, gender). I followed all the rules for a "successful" consulting business. I networked; I joined Federal and State vendor lists...and...and...crickets. FWIW, I NEEDED those lessons as they paved the way to where I am today, wiser. Along the way I discovered my Ikigai: Provide people with the tools & knowledge to make positive changes in their organizations, families, & communities. It is my touchpoint for all projects. I found a way to serve an underserved demographic, entrepreneurs & start-ups, while courting higher paying organizations that want to scale and folks in the C-Suite.
