To the degree government absorbs this space will be to the degree we lose our autonomy in this space. It is the way it works in any space. Hopefully at some point, someone who realizes this, and comes to this conclusion as I have, and is more capable than I am, will do something about it! The creation of a coalition of organizations who's mission is to protect members rights to personal sovereignty, spiritual practice and self governance is the answer. I celebrate my 7th 5-MEO birthday tomorrow. Over the years since I have concluded that the greatest threat to our access to entheogens will not come from the DEA but from the FDA and the rescheduling of these molecules. Establishment big money interests will put pressure on the psychedelic reformation we are enjoying. There is an answer, and that is to bring together as many entheogenic churches as possible into one association with agreed upon best practices, standards, and basic tenants, to protect our right to personal sovereignty, spiritual practice, and self government.
