Go against the AI grain: niche down and corner the market
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGSBvSLOMNw Summary: Don't build a generic AI bot, everyone is doing that. Niche down and find a market you can corner. Ex: An AI bot specifically for handling frozen yoghurt shops Thanks Andrei for introing me to Brecker btw, he makes great content

Possible job market recovery
Got an email in my inbox today from Google, saying they were hiring. I haven't see an email like this since 2021. Maybe they are starting to realize AI can't replace as much as they thought -

Playing Video Games is worse than Heroin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-kwlsEJAiY Watched this video on the flight back from Europe last month, I was playing WoW for like 5-10 hours a week in the summer, and I've had phases of 3-4 months binge-playing games (civ 5, chess - top 2% on chess.com, LoL - iron to plat in 2.5 months), and I was planning on still playing when I got back. But this completely changed my mind. Becker uses this phrase as clickbait, sort of, but I see his point. If you have a physical job, I think video games could be fine. But if you work from your desk, I'd stay away from them. In both cases you're just moving pixels on your screen, but the video game hacks your reward system in ways your work can't. Among other things I've done, this has been a game-changer. If you want a break from work, get out of the house (or at least away from your desk).

I heavily relate to this. I definitely was addicted to gaming and gambling as a kid. I lost around 20,000 hours of my childhood from gaming. Not saying that a little bit here or there is bad. But many are foregoing sleep, work, schooling, and health to get "one more round in" at 2:47am. The Chinese call videogames "spiritual opium" and I am inclined to agree.

@Andrei Roncea Hahah yes, I gave up all video games except polytopia, for some reason I am addicted to staying in diamond league for the weekly challenges
"I don't know what to do to make money"
I used to recommend learning how to code via bootcamp, and then passing large tech interviews as the fastest ROI. With the advent of A.I and offshore labor outsourcing, software engineer jobs are quickly disappearing. I now recommend - Getting skilled in a blue collar trade -> saving money -> buying/starting a specialized business -> scaling and/or selling it to a Private Equity firm
