Tarot and Torah - connected or what?
Tarot and Torah - connected or what? I get curious about things in the cards all the time, and had been noticing the large quantity of Jewish symbols and letters used, which made we wonder how they were connected. So I went to google and found a jewish blog about herbs, candles healing and Tarot cards. I found a very well written article by someone from that community and have linked it below with Rachael's permission. The main idea is that it was non jewish people who were fascinated with Jewish mysticism creating the tarot artwork and so they included Jewish letters etc. It didnt start with a Jewish tradition but as things often do, new stories have been created about how Tarot was created for teaching the Torah secretly. According to the article that's just not beenn able to be established as true Soooo.... if you have been curious, there is more you can read and I found this article that discusses the matter useful.( they do cover origins of tarot, and they cover those unique cards like the high priestess, wheel of fortune 10 of pentacles and more ) https://jewitches.com/blogs/blog/the-jewish-history-of-tarot?srsltid=AfmBOornTDy-3zbE8oyPuDkuAwXXSslsXWQMLuRdrg885Oyk811MrREG
