@Lavonia Joyner-Banks 💛 welcome to the HPM TechUp family!! I love that you’re making the pivot from construction into tech — that takes courage. And trust me, the discipline, problem-solving, and attention to detail you’ve built? Those transfer directly into QA. Wanting something remote and less physically demanding isn’t starting over — it’s leveling up. You absolutely belong here, and we’re excited to support you on this journey ✨
Weekend study’s
I still learn new things in the QA life. I realized that I didn’t have to learn everything, I just needed enough to get started. Tell me something you learned in your studies this weekend?

💼 You’re Closer Than You Think
Let me remind you of something: You don’t need to be the smartest person in tech. You need to be the most consistent. Most people don’t fail because they can’t learn QA. They fail because they stop halfway. What are you doing today to get you hired in your first TECH role tomorrow?

Lesson 1 💬 Discussion Prompt
👉 In your own words, why do you think QA is critical to both the business and the end user?

@Imari Thompson see with your explanation here, this is a bug. We would report it step-by-step to the developers and they would fix the issue and have you retest. This is what I do in a regular basis. You are ALREADY performing as a manual QA tester. These are the skills you want to remember when in an interview. YOU GOT THIS.

@K J, I like how you highlighted that QA supports both sides working smoothly 👏 You’re right — when systems run without defects, the business avoids costly setbacks and the end user can focus on their job without fighting the software. That flow of operations is everything.
