Travis' newest case study
It's happening right now. I love a good case study. It's always fun to read about some cool stuff that happened in the past that was successful. But right now in this community? We're a part of a LIVING case study. For all of those who want to retire now-er with one community in one hour per day? The playbook is being built right in front of our eyes in this very group! If you don't know how to build your own community... I'd invite you to get MORE from this one that you are already in. How do you get more and learn to build your own community? I'll tell ya. I'm no internet marketing genius. About a year ago, I was teaching high school English! But I do have one "super power..." I know how to pay ATTENTION. There have already been like 65 ninja moves about how to LEAD and GROW a community happening right in plain sight. Here's just ONE of them that I caught last week. Now that the movement of this group is humming along, Travis has gotten this group to grow at a lightning fast pace. I haven't seen him run any ads. I've seen a few posts on his FB and in some of his free groups. But most of the GROWTH? Has come from other members right here in the community! I think it's easy to miss so I don't know if you caught it or not? But Travis didn't offer some crazy cash prize for people who invite folks right here into CFM. He offered... Time with him and made it exclusive to all who pitch in. Anyone who brings in a new FLAME? Gets invited to a Zoom with Travis. And that's working like crazy to grow the group. How would you apply that to your own group? Once you have enough members who are in sync with your movement... They will happily grow it for you if you just ask and offer them something in return. Probably the most valuable thing to the will be time with YOU or some other expert you bring in :) I'm learning this stuff too and still need to apply it to my own community. But if you want me to share more about what I'm picking up from paying attention?

Good looking out @Evan DeVries! We need more sharp eyed people like you who can see and communicate what's happening in this group! So please continue sharing your insights!
Look what I came across…
My wife and I are looking through a local Habitat for Humanity store and I find this book. I’m thankful for @Travis Sago for showing us a different path.

@Michael Johnson yep! My dad is 67. My Step mom is 70. Both are on a "fixed income" and plenty of health problems to deal with. My dad spends most of his day caring for my step mom who can barely walk to the bathroom without being in excruciating pain from her hips. They were hit by a drunk driver over 20 years ago and she broke her hip and other bones and now she's paying the price during retirement. We can't control things that happen to us but we can control the foods we put in our bodies and how we make our living if we have enough courage. Neither of them ate very healthy which has compounded the medical problems they are experiencing now.

@Gene Nash no but maybe I'll go back and pick it up. It sure would give me 1,001 things not to do.
What are you up to this weekend?
Mr. Exciting here is going to Lowe's to buy a new dishwasher! BEAT THAT! 😆

I just wrote about what I was up too in a separate post. Found a book on how to retire well on a poor man's budget. Grateful to you @Travis Sago for what you're teaching us here. Finding that book quadrupled my desire to live a life as far away as possible from stretching a dollar during retirement.

@Richard Audemars I hope that one is good!
How to STOP doing shit you hate and START retiring TODAY
Retirement Mojo Philosophy: Retirement is NOT an event. It's not a someday. It's not a number with an ass load of zeroes behind it. It's not age 62, 67 or 70 when you can start taking social security. It's not a life of sacrifice until you get the AARP cards in the mail. It's not a time to crawl up on top of your mountain of money, so bored out of your mind that you take a long, long, ass nap until it's time to meet your maker. It's not living in mortal fear when the price of things go up. It's not shitting your Depends over elections because you're worried some ass hat politician will cut your benefits. It's not miscalculating the "numbers" and then burdening your kids to take care of you until you croak. Retirement Mojo (which is night and day different than Trad Retirement)... ...is a process. That doesn't start SOMEDAY! It starts NOW! ⏲️ I don't want to stop producing income. I don't want to sit around picking toe jam out from between my toes. I just want to produce income WITHOUT ALL THE THINGS I HATE! I want to wake up at 4 am without an alarm clock because (almost) EVERYTHING on my list "to do" is something that is a 10 out of 10 on the mojo meter for me! I want to do THAT until the day someone throws a shovel of dirt on my face complete with my shit eating grin! I was 38 the day I started RETIRING. NOT from retiring from producing income! But RETIRING from doing the shit I hated to produce the income. For example: On a mojo scale of 1 to 10... Where 1 is... I'd rather let Marsellus Wallace call his boys from Compton to go medieval on my ass. To 10... ...Where I get a spiritual erection that lasts longer than 4 hours Managing Sales People was about a 2. A constipated calendar oozing with sales calls was about a 3. The rest of my day (at the time) was filled with 8s and 9s. So... I fired my sales people. And challenged myself to figure out HOW to sell stuff WITHOUT the sales calls. The funny thing is... The "figuring it out" part was actually a NINE on the Mojo Scale for me.
