Discussion Post Eight - Servant Leadership
Write out the draft for your purpose statement and your 5 values ranked from 1-5. Feel free to refer to the PowerPoint for help! Extra Credit: Take time to write out your own obituary. How do you want to be remembered?

Cesar lives as a producer of Holy Spirit lead sounds so that others can encounter Jesus by hearing a glimpse of heaven in seemingly dark places. He strives to inspire others to create with their God-given gifts and coach some to do greater than himself. 1. Unoffendable 2. Teachability 3. Gratitude 4. Generosity 5. Joy
Discussion Post Four - Servant Leadership
Do you have a secret place? How important is your secret place? How do you think you could be more intentional with your time with Jesus?

My secret place changes. Sometimes it's in my backyard, in my car, a hiking trail, etc. I believe that any time I can separate myself from all the noise of this world and get alone with God, no matter where that is, I've entered "my secret place". To me, taking that time to spend with Jesus is very important because I get to here directly from Him. It keeps me grounded and rooted in truth so when I get back into a world filled with lies/fabricated truths, I can have that much needed discernment in my day to day. I can be much more intentional with my time with Jesus by being consistent in choosing to give Him the first part of my day. Starting my day off right by spending it with the one who blessed me with another day in the first place🙌🏽
Discussion Post Three - Servant Leadership
Looking at the ways that Jesus served and led: What is one way that you can serve like Jesus, and what is one way that you can lead like Jesus?

One way I can serve like Jesus is to always be serving with humility. Doesn’t matter who I’m serving, I’m always going to serve with excellence and not serve others differently depending on their status. One way I can lead like Jesus is by leading others as I myself am being lead by the Father. To do that I gotta make sure that I’m spending quality time with our Heavenly Father. Going to the secret place, being in His word daily, praying without ceasing, etc.
Discussion Post One - Basic Doctrine 101
Describe a moment when good doctrine "was like rain" for your life. How did that good doctrine bring clarity or healing to your life over time? If it's difficult for you to think of a moment, then what doctrine were you introduced to in class today that helped bring clarity to an area of your life?

Good doctrine brings me clarity every time I try to do things out of order. I remember always asking and wondering what my purpose was and constantly second guessing if what I was doing was what God has called me to do in this life. Quickly PB’s life verse became mine and now I know to always seek Him, His kingdom, His righteousness, and everything else will be added to me. As I started living that truth out, I truly began to see how when my eyes are fixed on the caller, then the calling falls into place naturally. And I’m never worried about creating an idol over the calling because I’m always keeping Jesus in the forefront. So even if/when the calling changes, it’s okay because I don’t identify with it. Doors started to open that I know only God could’ve opened. And yeah, it’s the best feeling to know that I can just fix my eyes on one person and trust in Him for the rest.
