We were due to leave Texas after three years. Dr. Glassow had other plans. My hubby’s orders were rescinded. So, we stayed another three years at Fort Hood Texas. My daughter never let her heart ❤️ limit her in any way. She liked to play softball 🥎. We brought her and her brothers baseball gloves so they could play together. She play tackle football 🏈 with the kids on the block. She loved to swim especially under water. One time, she went under water and I grabbed her up! She was like, “mami why you pulled me up? I was swimming!” I was just scared, but, I didn’t let her know. Just mother’s instinct! She loved going to amusement parks. One day, she was on a ride that you could flip over. The guy she was riding with did flips not knowing it would cause her heart to over exert. Later that night, her chest was hurting. We took her to the ER. The doctors were trying hard to get her heart rate down. Meds weren’t working. He asked how did docs get it to come down. I told him that usually she threw up and it would stop. Mine you, I mentioned this before in an earlier post. The ER doc did not believe me. He looked 👀 at me strangely. He tried other things and nothing. Then, she threw up and her heart rate was normal. The doctor was stunned 😳! He told me, I was right but, I already knew that 😏. Even when I would tell the nurses they had to do her EKG on the left, they would say no. Then, the doctor would tell them I was correct and they had to do it over. I knew my baby better cause of so many years seeing these doctors. For awhile, she had been on meds. After awhile, the doctor took her off. She continued to excel. Soon, we would leave Texas to Alaska.
