First Day of races - regional italian qualification
Just finished my first day of race …i did my Pb In 50m breaststroke …that’s 35’27…first of the region for the Moment 🤞🏻tomorrow 200 mt breaststroke…😱

Just finished last day of racing with the 100. I went 1:16.12 in the 100 breast, and my PB from November was 1:17.57. Super happy about it! Now it’s time to grind hard and try to hit 1:14.61 by early March — that’s the qualifying time for the Italian Youth Championships.

Taper time can be exciting and weird, right? Your body is tired. Your brain is loud.. maybe your heart rate goes up when you try to fall asleep but your mind decides to jump into a full HD movie of what could go wrong or that national champion that's seeded in the lane next to you. The meet is so close you can kinda taste the chlorine. And this is the part almost everyone messes up. Most swimmers think taper is just…“Do less km's and hope for the best.” But the last 2-4 weeks before a big meet are more like flying a plane. You are not building the plane now. 🛬 You are trying to land it. Land smooth… best times. Land messy… hello disappointment. Or worse... CRASH. @David Karasek great thank you Things I would like to improve are warm up for competitions (stretching, bands and water ) , visualization (I do it every night but I don’t manage to feel happy at the end) , underwater ( I’m not actually good and I don’t try to do it every time because I feel I get slower)…

👀🔥 Visualization Challenge Until X-Mas (who's in?? comment below👇)
Here's how the challenge works: You visualize one of your favorite events every night before going to sleep for 3-5mins (no longer). Why? (I give ya the summary, if you wanna watch the full training it's here) - You mentally rehearse your starts, pacing, technique, turns and finish. - You go thru the motions of the call room, walking out, stepping on the blocks so that when it happens in the 3D world, your mind knows what's coming next and will be very calm and focused (instead of worried or scared). - AND (this is the most transformational): When you touch the wall in your visualization and see the outcome that you work so hard towards, you will automatically be put into an emotional state of happiness, joy, excitement and passion. This makes you the best version of yourself when you wake up the next day and as a result of that, your final preparation will be better than otherwise. 📮 Then the FOLLOWING day you comment on this post that you've done it. The goal is that you do it (and let us know) EVERY.SINGLE.DAY (and yes, that means you have to login Skool 1x per day) ACTION STEP: Comment below "I'm In!!" and share when your last competition before X-Mas is. Then see you in the comments of this post tomorrow. Then the next day. Then the next. The next... you get the point ☺️ Let's do this as a team and hold each other accountable.
