Yesterday, @Tiffany Gaines had a great conversation about fiscal sponsorship, so I wanted to share a real-life example of what it can look like when organizations come together for a greater purpose. Amazing Soldiers, Inc. is proud to serve as the fiscal sponsor for Nicole Peele and Gear Soap’s Tactical Hygiene Initiative. Phase One of this pilot began in July and will continue through October and we are already seeing the positive impact of this partnership. Our board decided not to charge Gear Soap a percentage or administrative fee for this initiative. Our only request was that if any Gear Soap hygiene units remained, some would be set aside to support homeless veterans served through Amazing Soldiers and Nicole graciously agreed. During August, we will also be helping provide Gear Soap hygiene units to officers with the Katy Police Department and the College Station Police Department. This is one of the beautiful things about partnership: you get to see what can happen when people bring their resources, ideas, and hearts together to serve others. Nicole recently shared a heartfelt message expressing her gratitude for me and Amazing Soldiers, but I am equally grateful that she trusted us to be part of her vision. This is only the beginning, and I am excited to see how much this pilot initiative accomplishes by October. This is what collaboration, fiscal sponsorship, and community impact can look like when we work together. 😊
