I wrote my article
https://lnkd.in/edDwX5a6 I thought I was going to solicit feedback before posting, but my business truck had a mental break down and decided it was a door stop. Ugh, luckily the answer to "how much is this going to cost me" is postponed for another day because all the shops are closed in town. Anyhow, I wonder, can you relate to me? Have you asked for help yet? I know it was super hard to admit I am not an octopus and there really are only 24 hours in the day. Plus, I do have to sleep. Asking for help was so liberating! I have some contacts to those that helped me if you want names, they are open to virtual help sessions. Plus, hello, this group has helped me too. But I didn't have to ask...LOL, you just do help.

@Katie Day yes! So these would be subheadinga. Your main headline is a H1 Heading and your Subheadings are H2. When you add an article to LinkedIn you have a editing bar (like the image below). In there is the dropdown for Style. This is similar to blogs, but WordPress uses H1, H2, H3. I apologize if that got confusing, moat blogs use APA Style Standard or Chicago Manual of Style, which are Style guidelines for published papers (academic, magazine etc). Blogs added it back in the day for readability 😊. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/yes-my-dog-went-viral-didnt-help-business-thats-point-watts-ba-8p0wc?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android&utm_campaign=share_via

@Katie Day lol! APA is so engrained in my writing that I sometimes struggle to write like a conversation and not like an academic paper. One more suggestion, that might work on LinkedIn like it does on YouTube is to have a different title on your thumbnail vs the written title. Here's an example👇🏼 I know this works on YouTube because people sometimes only see the visual graphic and not the title so use both spots to your advantage.
A favour to ask
I'm always saying that ASKING your community is the best move you can make when you are unsure how something will land. So I'm taking my own advice. I want to grow this community with more amazing people just like you but I need a quick favour. It'll take you less than 5 minutes. I'm updating the About page and I want it to reflect what's actually happening in here, not just what I hope is happening. If you've gotten anything useful from the community, would you answer one or two of these for me? You can reply here or DM me: 1. Before you joined, what was the main thing that felt off about your content? 2. What's one thing you've stopped doing since working through the roadmap? 3. What do you do now instead? 4. If a friend asked you what this community is actually for, what would you tell them? I may use your words (with your name, unless you'd prefer anonymous) on the About page or in future copy. Just let me know your preference.

@Katie Day this made my day!!! "From wandering mess to purposeful with real support behind you" — that's exactly the shift I hope people feel here. And the point about YouTube being so general really resonates. That gap is exactly why this community exists. So grateful you shared this. 🤍 Would you be comfortable with me using your words on the About page: with your name, or anonymous, totally your call!
Instagram just made video easier
Can we talk about this Instagram update for a second? They just added a teleprompter inside the main Reels camera. You type your script, it scrolls while you record. Which means if your like me you can finally stop doing 20 takes just to sound coherent. You're not a professional broadcaster. You're a business owner with a message to share. Tools that make it easier to show up? Those matter. This one's worth knowing about. Who's going to try it out?👋

Your next collaboration, your next clarity, your next "oh thank god it's not just me" is one post away.
I've seen it happen in other communities. Someone shares what they're working on. Someone else says me too. And suddenly there's a conversation, a connection, maybe even a friendship or an opportunity that wouldn't have existed if that person had stayed quiet. I want that to happen here. That's actually why I'm writing this. Because this community has the people, the experience, and the heart for it. We just need someone to go first. So let it be you. What are you working on right now? Where are you stuck? What win do you want to celebrate? What question have you been sitting on because you weren't sure if it was worth asking? It's worth asking. Post it. Share it. Ask it. You might be exactly what someone else needed to hear today, and this community might be exactly what you needed too. Speaking of collaborations @Gale Bates and I spoke this week on her YouTube channel, and this post came from that.😀 What's one thing you're working on or needing support with this week?

@Katie Day same. I have all the plans too and making space to actually film has been the thing. That's why I put a 90 Day YouTube Challenge series on the calendar this week. Let's tackle it together. 🎯

@Janet Wilson Your daughter gave good advice. Carousels can be such a time spiral, my advice stick to one or two carousel styles. And getting comfortable on camera is one of those things that only happens by doing it. Cheering you on. What kind of content are you filming?

We are featured in Skool ad on Meta (Facebook)!!!!🎊. The other day I spotted @Melissa Boster Menopause Skool on an ad. I'll keep watching for more! What is your small brag/win for this Friday morning?

@Lisa Black please do. I need to drop a post to say this but this community is a safe place to share your ideas, plans etc on the main page. I don't have rules about sharing or posting, at least not yet or maybe ever😆.

@Gale Bates that was such a fun chat, didn't even feel like an interview. 😀

I help you stop creating more content and start using what you already have to build a business that doesn’t rely on showing up 24/7
