The title of the day suggests that 'coaching' can be taken both as a Profession and as a Way of life. I choose to reflect on the latter, by integrating coaching 'principles and practices' into one's day today living, not just in professional settings. Coaching as a way of life emphasizes - continuous learning, self-improvement, and helping others reach their own potential in their lives. This approach fosters a mindset of growth, collaboration, and empowerment, extending beyond specific goals to create a more fulfilling and purpose-driven life. While coaching is often associated with professional development, 'as a way of life,' it extends its reach to all aspects of life, including personal relationships, family and community. Of course, this mindset encourages ongoing learning, self-reflection, and adaptation to challenges, fostering resilience and adaptability. It can lead to increased self-confidence, improved decision-making, better communication skills, and greater sense of well-being. Given the rigor and challenge by making 'coaching' as a way of life, not many may choose this as their way of living. However, if someone chooses this or feels deep within as his/her MISSION in this life, then, in my opinion, it is worth giving a try. A vision of coaching as a mission deepens one's commitment and offers a qualitative service to the growth of individuals, groups and families.
