What's one action you've taken this month that brought you closer to your first (or next) paying client, and what did you learn from it?

If you could go back to the day you published your very first book, what's the ONE piece of advice you'd give yourself? Mine would be: Start building your audience earlier instead of waiting until launch day. I'm curious to hear your answers.
