I showed up in my desired state this week. I noticed a huge difference in myself through a very silly illustration. I’ve been working on just being me. Authentic, true to self, straight up just me. So the story… I rented a convertible in Florida for spring break. My old self would have driven that car all week consumed with how other drivers were perceiving me. I might have felt superior to them in that sports car. I might have imagined everyone looking at me with envy. (Just being totally vulnerable here.) Instead this week, I found myself just thinking about how good it felt to have the wind blowing in my face. I felt such deep gratitude for the fresh air, the luxury of vacation, and for my health and happiness. I had zero pride or concern with how others perceived me. I was present for myself. And nothing else mattered to me except appreciating the moments I was experiencing. I honestly was so grateful, I cried. 🫣 It was measurable growth for me to carry no concern for others and to not care what they were or weren’t thinking.

This week and all the weeks (LOL) I’m working on trying to overcome the belief that I have to be perfect in order to be a container large enough to hold the abundance I desire. I need to let go and let it flow. But I’m striving to do well/be good/get healthy so I can move into my future self. I’m tired of striving. I want to let go and for things to go the way I want them to.

@Carolyn Kelly one small step at a time! Maybe instead of thinking about details of moving forward, think about what’s one small change that you can make inwardly which would lead to the details you speak of. So for me, I have my goals, but I have identified some character qualities that need to be adjusted before I can meet those goals… Discipline, taming my ego, meditation being a few examples.
