Hope everyone's having a great December 🙂 Wanted to share that I've recently made some good strides in mixing after watching the Lenses module in the classroom. I really resonated with the part about spending 20min to make a track 1% better. I used to view mixing as a daunting task and felt like I would have to dedicate 1-2 undisturbed days to mixing a song (and consequently put it off for months). I'm beginning to see how I can incorporate shorter sessions into my day to day life, and even experience mixing as a leisurely activity rather than something stressful. I've been leaning into trusting my taste and my instincts, and as a result I've been flowing through music much more quickly and gracefully. Hi everyone 🙂 I'm Cassidy & I release music under the name Cherry. I'm a singer songwriter with a background in jam bands. I've been producing for about three years now and I also play a bit of piano. I've experimented with a ton of styles like melodic house, minimal, indie, singer songwriter, yoga sound healing. Right now the bulk of the music I make is 135-140 electro with vocals. I love collaborating with other producers and have expanded into other styles like hip hop, rnb, techno, and bass music thru collabs. I'm excited to join this community to expand my knowledge in production 😸 currently I'm working on bringing my first album to the finish line by March next year. I'm also hoping to meet new collaborators in this community ^__^ I love making music with other people and find it to be such a beautiful and inspiring process. I love meeting up and creating ideas in person (I'm based in LA but also down to travel) but I don't mind collaborating over the internet sending stems/vox back and forth. I'm especially interested in more bass music projects.
