My son hasn't lived with me for over 3 years now. He's his own self, living his own life, and doing great. But I don't think I'll ever get over this empty-nest feeling. It's difficult to carry joy for him and his progress, while at the same time my own sadness over the change. But I'm putting one foot in front of the other and carrying on ... I'll figure out my next pivot, I'm certain!

@Jackie Grawe Thanks, I appreciate you sharing that with me. So many people I come across are excited for their free time now and happy for their kids and couldn't be happier themselves.... I feel like maybe they're just not being completely honest with me! I'm so devastated at this transition, I've no idea how it's ever going to get better! But I, too, am focusing in on writing a book 🙃 maybe we'll see each other on shelves one day!

Gratitude is difficult for me this season. I've busted up my knee and I'm fairly house-bound. But I'm happy to be alive, and healthy-ish, and I can still write!
