Handmade Rustic Garage Door
Handmade this rustic garage door back when I lived in Tucson AZ 🛠️ Took over 500 bolts to piece it together — every panel custom, every detail hand-set. Started with basic sheet metal, used my special formula to rust the panels then I clear coated them to seal in the look forever. With little to 0 help installing this 1,200ibs door wasn’t easy but it definitely paid off. Too advanced for beginners, but I share it to show you one thing: the possibilities (and the $$$) in this trade are endless. 💰 Most people think “garage doors” = simple repairs. Truth is, once you learn the basics, you can scale into high-ticket installs, customs, and projects like this that pay out big. 🔑 This industry is wide open for anyone hungry enough to learn.

💯 This one ran well over $10,000 and I only had about $2,500 in parts into it. Took 3 weeks just to rust the metal, then I had to clear coat it to lock in the finish forever. Door weighed over 1,200 lbs, needed 4 springs to balance it out. Nobody’s breaking into that sucker! 🔥

Bel Air, California 🏡✨ Installed these sleek full-view black aluminum doors — modern, clean, and built to last. Jobs like this remind me why the garage door business is one of the highest-margin service hustles out there. Most people think it’s just repairs, but one install like this can net you $5k–$10k+ in profit. The best part? Clients love the transformation — their curb appeal jumps instantly, and you’re stacking wins while building a real business. Momentum > perfection. Keep moving, keep stacking, and the results will follow. 🚀

@Jonathan Javorsky 90% of my new clients come from free organic traffic. Yelp + Google Business Profile = goldmine if you know how to work it. Optimize your profile, stack reviews, post pics of your jobs — the algorithm pushes you for free. Angi & Thumbtack fill the gaps. Once you’re dialed in, calls hit your phone every day without paying a cent for ads. 🔑📈

@Jonathan Javorsky Appreciate it bro 🙌 FB ads work, but I built this whole thing without dropping a dime on paid traffic. It’s all organic — Yelp, Google, Angi — once you know how to position yourself, the calls don’t stop. Paid ads just pour gas on a fire that’s already lit. 🔥
Garage Door Business Cash Flow Breakdown 💰🔧
A lot of people see garage doors as “just repairs” — but when you look at the numbers, it’s one of the most profitable service businesses you can run. Here’s a simple breakdown: 🛠️ Common Jobs & Average Ticket - Spring Replacement: $300–$600 - Opener Install: $500–$900 - Full Door Replacement: $1,500–$5,000+ - Quick Service Call (cables, rollers, sensors): $150–$250 💵 Typical Costs - Springs: $40–$80 each - Openers: $200–$350 - Doors: $700–$1,200 (basic) - Hardware/Travel: $20–$40 per job 📊 Profit Margins - Service/Repair: 60–80% - Openers: 40–50% - Doors: 30–40% (but bigger tickets = bigger cash flow) 👉 The crazy part? With just 2–3 jobs a day, you can easily do $1,000+ revenue daily — even as a solo operator. Scale it up with a helper or tech and the numbers multiply fast. 🚀 In upcoming posts I’ll break down: 1. Startup costs (what tools + parts you actually need). 2. Marketing that brings in leads consistently. 3. How to systemize so you’re not stuck on every job. 💬 Question for you guys: Which breakdown do you want me to go deeper into first — startup costs or marketing/lead gen?

@Rob Alban 🔥 Marketing and lead gen are the lifeblood of this biz. I cover proven strategies inside the class, how to get jobs without paying a fortune for ads, plus scripts that convert. Once you nail this, it’s game over. 💯 Want me to send you a breakdown of how I do it?
Most people think you need the perfect setup to start a business… a big truck, a shop, a crew.
The truth? You don’t. When I started, I was doing $300–$350 repairs out of a car. Springs, cables, openers — all of it fit in the trunk. Guys I know cleared $1,500+ a week before they ever bought a truck. But once the cash started flowing, I leveled up. This F-350 cost me $5,000 and now it makes every job look professional. The real mistake isn’t starting “too small.” The real mistake is waiting until everything is “perfect.” 👉 Start lean. Stack wins. Upgrade as you go. Question: what’s the ONE thing you keep telling yourself you need before starting?

@Jonathan Javorsky Exactly 🔥 paralysis kills more dreams than failure ever will. I always say it’s better to learn while moving than wait for the “perfect plan.” Momentum compounds, once you start stacking wins, the heat turns itself up. 💯

@Rob Alban 💯 Absolutely, Rob! The contractor license is key for staying compliant when you start scaling. The cool part? You can start small with service work while getting licensed in the background, then level up big once you’re ready. That’s what I teach in the class—how to get moving now while setting up the long game. 🔑🔥 Appreciate you dropping that insight!
