I was sitting here thinking today about you guys installing the system and how things are going. I’m curious how things are going for everybody. We start spring ball next week so there should be a lot of questions and answers for everyone but just drop your thoughts. I’m curious how everything’s going for everybody

I'm struggling to wrap my head around some of the finer details of Cleveland/Carolina. Namely how to teach/identify the situations where you have to break the covered/uncovered rules and just run. I know you guys have the "orgy" and "fubar" calls. Coach Morton has said those situations happen more often than not. Just trying to figure out how to best teach that as it will be be installed as the base version of this concept before the "lead" tag (your cobra/colt) is added.
Hudl
Just came across the Buffalo film in the hudl library. Wow is that helpful to watch! Are there any other gems in there that you guys would recommend I watch or use as teach tape besides Coach Codutti’s game film? Let me know.

Can we go into some detail on Toss? If it was discussed previously and I missed it, I can go back and look at that as well

Coach, unfortunately I’m not going to be able to make the call as previously anticipated…on duty at the school i work at…boarding school life
Is this correct?
Can someone tell me if I’m on the right track here? Still catching up to everyone with all of the resources/videos on here and elsewhere. I drew up my interpretation/application of Carolina/Cleveland and cobra/colt for our offense on hudl. The defenses are very generic and I needed to start with our base formation which is a 21p Pro-I. The lead tag for us would be cobra/colt.

@Christopher Morton Thanks for getting back to me….I don’t anticipate running all of these out of this look on Fridays but I just wanted to get them all in out of I as a start. I would most likely have the F backside as you guys do on Carolina/cleavland to insert off of the cutoff blocks. But yes I have 3 specific questions based on the way I drew them up: - I’m just a bit confused on Cobra when you add the F (B) into the combinations the OL minus 1 their combinations which appears to break covered/uncovered rules in some instances. Like if you run it to a shade in an even front the PSG is uncovered but still doubles with the center to the #2 LB? - the way I drew up (38) Carolina/cleveland to a 3 man surface vs the 34 I have the TE solo blocking the #1 (Mike) even though technically the first combo should be working there - The way i drew up 37 lead (colt weak) vs the 34 the PST is covered which leaves the F (b) 1on1 with the walked down OLB like your bend tag instead of comboing with the T

I had a lot of the same questions as the other coaches on the live call. I now understand in principle how the combos are indentified in cobra/colt vs Carolina/cleavland. Maybe I’m misunderstanding covered/uncovered rules, but it seems the rule of 2 outside and then pushing the combos all the way back supersedes the base covered/uncovered rules?
