Just Hit 10,000 Subscribers
I just hit 10,000 subscribers on Substack. It feels like a big and very personal milestone because it represents all of the heart I've poured into building my portfolio business and newsletter audience. It also represents my commitment to helping people stop depending on one paycheck, one client, one platform, or one product. I looked at the poll where I asked you guys where you are on your Substack journey, and many of you are struggling to grow. I'm sharing this news today as encouragement and to show that anything is possible when you put your mind to it, including getting 10,000 subscribers. My Substack Notes Secrets mini course is now live in the classroom. This is where I share the entire system I used to hit this milestone and consistently get new subscribers to my 9-To-Thrive newsletter. If you're ready to grow your publication, I highly recommend you take the mini course. so tell me, how often do you publish your newsletter?

Notes Reality Check
There’s no shortage of advice about how often to post Notes. But I’d rather hear from people actually using the platform. What’s your current Notes cadence? And have you noticed any difference when you post more often versus less often?

@Bobbi Brinkman are you using WriteStack? That will show you when your audience is most active. so many people say it doesn't matter if you post three or ten notes a day, that the outcome is the same. I have data that proves that it is not the same. The more you post, the more subscribers you get.

@Daryl Pratt hey Darrell, you haven’t done anything wrong . Notes are more complex than they seem.. Growth can be slow at first. If you have time, I recommend that you check out the Substack notes, secrets, mini course in the classroom.. it will help you gain subscribers.
Portfolio of Paychecks Map
This map shows the full arc of building a portfolio business, from a free newsletter all the way to diversified creator income. Five stages, in order. Each stage shows you the income stream to build, how to know you're in that stage, what the work looks like, and the milestone that tells you you're ready for the next one. Here's how to use it: 1. Download the map below. 2. Find the stage that describes where you are today. Be honest, not aspirational. 3. Look one stage to the right and work towards moving to that stage. If you don't know how, check the classroom for the course that aligns with what you need most. That's it. Don't build ahead, don't build three income streams at once, and don't skip a milestone because the next stage looks more exciting. Skipping stages is how creators end up with five half-built income streams and no paycheck. Once you know your stage, drop the number in the comments and let me know what would help you get to the next stage. Everything I post in this community maps back to these five stages, so knowing yours tells you exactly which lessons and threads to pay attention to first. Which stage of the Portfolio of Paychecks Map are you in right now?
