After I finished recording the videos I needed to finish for this community, I finally sat down and started scrolling. I came across a woman who documents the people she meets throughout her journey. In this particular video, she saw a man struggling to get an enormous rooster into his car. She stopped and asked, “Excuse me, can I help you?” That simple question led to him inviting her to visit his ranch in Texas. He originally came to America from South Africa, and the place he created is called Milk & Honey Ranch. The moment he said the name, I almost knew where it came from: “A land flowing with milk and honey.” Of course, I had to go look at the ranch’s page. And there it was… 153.5K followers. I just sat there staring at it. If you know my story, you know that 153 follows me everywhere. It comes from John 21:11, when the disciples brought in a net filled with: “…great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three…” They had been fishing without success. Then Jesus told them where to cast the net. They followed His direction, and suddenly there was an abundance so great—and yet the net did not break. That number eventually became Mile 153 in my One More Mile message. For me, Mile 153 means: You are here. You may not be able to see the entire road ahead. You may not know exactly how everything is going to come together. But you can take the next step. You can travel the next mile. And today, after completing the videos I needed to complete, 153 appeared again—inside a story about stopping to help someone along the road, at a ranch named from Scripture. I won’t pretend to know exactly why this number continues appearing in my life. But today, I felt seen. I felt reminded. And more than anything, I felt incredibly, incredibly blessed. ❤️ Has God ever used something deeply personal and familiar to remind you that He knows exactly where you are?

Many of you already know that I’m rebuilding my Skool community around Sing It Like You Mean It and creating the first vocal modules now. But while I’ve been building, something much bigger has been unfolding offline. Several wildfires have burned more than 150,000 acres around the area where I live in Northern Nevada. We experienced evacuation warnings, falling ash, power outages, and the very real possibility that the fire could reach our neighborhood. Now a 48-hour Reno Complex Wildfire Relief Telethon is being organized to help the people affected—and somehow, one yes after another has turned my small part in it into something I never expected. 🎤 I’ll sing the National Anthem from a Storey County fire truck at the Camel Races. 🎥 A videographer volunteered to film it, and that video will open the telethon. 🎸 I posted asking for one acoustic guitarist to accompany a few of my original songs. 🔥 Instead, an entire band—Trampfoot—stepped up and is now learning my music to perform with me. This has become a real-time lesson in building publicly: make the post, ask for what you need, let people see what you’re creating, and give the right people an opportunity to say yes. The course modules are still being built—but now the lessons about breath, confidence, preparation, and trusting your own voice are also being tested in the real world. The telethon begins streaming at 5 p.m. on October 30 and continues for 48 hours. I am so damn excited this morning! Last night, I got on a call with the ladies in PDA (Passive Digital Academy) There were six of us, plus Jessica, and it honestly felt like I was sitting in a room full of my absolute best friends. We talked about Skool, our communities, what we’re building, what people actually need—all of it. When I started talking about Sing It Like You Mean It, and I felt like at least two of the women were already chomping at the bit to get inside. Out of five other women on that call. And I haven’t even recorded my first lesson yet! 😂 That shocked me—but it also confirmed something I already knew: People want to learn how to sing. They don’t all want recording contracts or giant stages. Some of them simply want to stop running out of breath, reach a high note without strangling it, sing in front of someone without shutting down, or finally believe their voice is worth hearing. And they don’t want it turned into some big, complicated, ridiculously expensive thing. They want real help, in plain English, one useful thing at a time. That is exactly what I’m building. Before we left the call, @Carrie Crews said something that meant so much to me: “I’m so glad you’re not getting rid of The Next Thing Method. I really resonated with that.” Carrie, I am absolutely not getting rid of it. ❤️ In fact, the more I think about it, the more obvious it becomes: The Next Thing Method is going to be the backbone of Sing It Like You Mean It. Because singers get stuck too. They hear 47 things they supposedly need to fix. Their breathing, pitch, projection, tone, confidence, high notes, microphone technique—and suddenly singing doesn’t feel fun anymore. They don’t know what to work on first, so they either try to fix everything at once or do nothing at all. We aren’t doing that here. We will figure out what is getting in your way, make it simple, and work on the next useful thing. Then the next. So yes, this community is being reintroduced as:
