Daily Affirmation & Breath Practice Your words should not merely come out of your mouth—they should come from a centered mind, an intentional heart, and an aligned spirit. For the next seven days, we are fasting from negative speech and intentionally practicing the language of Life, possibility, purpose, gratitude, and expectation. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” — Proverbs 18:21 BEFORE YOU SPEAK: CENTER YOURSELF Find a quiet place. Sit or stand comfortably. Relax your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and become aware of your breathing. Do not rush into the affirmations. BOX BREATHING — 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 Complete 4 rounds: INHALE — 4 seconds Slowly breathe in through your nose. HOLD — 4 seconds Become still. Allow your mind to settle. EXHALE — 4 seconds Slowly release the breath. HOLD — 4 seconds Remain still before beginning again. As you breathe, release the mental noise of the day. You are becoming present. NOW — SPEAK LIFE Stand or sit upright. Take your time. Do not race through the affirmations just to complete them. 1. SPEAK AUDIBLY Whenever possible, say the affirmation out loud. Hear yourself speaking a new language over your life. 2. SPEAK SLOWLY Give every statement time to register. Pause between affirmations. 3. SPEAK INTENTIONALLY Don’t merely repeat words. Consider what you are saying. See it. Feel it. Believe it. Speak it. 4. SPEAK IN THE PRESENT We are not simply declaring what we hope to become. We are training ourselves to recognize and participate in the Life available NOW. 5. REPEAT EACH AFFIRMATION 3 TIMES The first time, read it. The second time, hear it. The third time, own it. THE DAILY DECLARATION Today, I choose LIFE. I refuse to use my mouth to reinforce fear, defeat, limitation, bitterness, or negativity. I will not curse what I have been called to cultivate. I speak Life over my mind. I speak Life over my body. I speak Life over my family. I speak Life over my relationships. I speak Life over my finances.
