I would like to do some sort of master class on "combines well with" when creating formulas,. Also am getting overwhelmed in creating formulas and what to prioritise in complex cases. Such as when creating a formula can you put something that will give some sort of immediate relief while dealing with the deeper issues which take longer to address? Another thing I'd like to know more about using herbs in ACUTE situations. Such as headaches high blood pressure, low/high sugar, physical trauma etc. I could go on and on... Love your work Louise! Herbs and Dying
We have many herbs with a wide range of uses, some of them more unusual and unique than others. The following ae some herb suggestions that could be used in a number of circumstances around the death and dying processes. Overwhelming grief is a common feeling we have around losing loved ones. There are a number of herbs that can help support the overwhelming grief. Hawthorn Berries – specific for a broken heart and to help bring some renewing energies. Lemon balm – A great tonic for the nervous system. It will help lift the sense of a heavy weight and ease the grieving proves. Rose – For love, forgiveness and compassion, it will find beauty through any pain. Rosemary – our memory herb that has been long associated with remembrance and death. It was thrown in with coffins to help the dying to find their right way home. Elder – the introspective herb from the white Goddess that brings with her protective powers for when we pass. Vervain Blue – Supportive in time of distress as it will calm the nerves. Bobinsana – Calliandra is used to ease the pain of loss and open us to spiritual channel’s. Is often used as a flower essence. Mugwort – used in both births and deaths as it releases the fears of the unknown. Chamomile and lavender will both help to bring calmness and soothe the mind.
