Are you constantly optimizing?
Modern culture trains us to optimize. Be faster. Be better. Be ahead. But something gets lost: depth clarity connection Embodied philosophy is not about improving yourself. It’s about meeting yourself. Question: Where in your life do you feel caught in optimization?
While I agree I want to share that there is a special feeling of meeting yourself while trying to optimize, knowing yourself in the meeting, the imprrmanence and fragility of the body, the slow of mind, the weak spirit, the realization of constraints... that optimizing I really like. But for me all depend on the intent, I think that if the main point is to achieve something then that finding yourself part is lost.
Hi all! I am Javier (Javi)
Hi, I am Javier, I come from Madrid but I live in Heidelberg. I am a very happy person. I have two sons and a wife. I am a Taekwondo practitioner since 2 years. I would like to improve the comunication with people that I don't see too often, like my family in Spain. More generally, to conciously save some time every day for that (or other things). For this week I am going to stop for a moment and take 10 minutes every day of time to prepare a present for my Nephew (or something similar).
@Kilian Urban Thanks Kilian! :D
