Duolingo Yay or Nay ?
I'm starting my Portuguese learning journey and I'm going for Duolingo besides listening to music and speaking with my friend. I'm already bored of the repetition but I have to say : the vocabulary sticks in my brain ! What is your opinion ? Have you used Duolingo for your French learning ?

@Aurelie Delahalle I wouldn't even say for first learners. They need to be listening to sounds and not repeating words. They're learning, not memorising lol

Our first community conversation was a success !
Merci beaucoup à @Mikolaj Walczak @Jerry V @Nikki Long for coming and having a conversation in French and about French last night. We had the United Kingdom, Mexico, Alabama US and Florida US in the same room 🤩 I loved it so much, the support and the genuine conversation. This is the purpose of this community : learning together. So again, Merci ✨ Should we do it a bi-weekly thing ?

@Aurelie Delahalle As slang, a prune is an insulting term for a dull, disagreeable, foolish, or ill-tempered person, often referring to someone elderly or wrinkly. It is commonly used to describe someone with a miserable or sour expression

@Aurelie Delahalle C'est génial que différentes cultures aient des expressions idiomatiques différentes.
