The truth about dairy
For years, we’ve been told that dairy is essential for strong bones but I want to bring forward for momma's in this group the truth about bone health and milk for kids. The most important for strong bones is Exercise: Bone health begins with movement. Weight-bearing exercises like walking, running, and strength training stimulate bone remodeling and improve density. Without exercise, your bones aren’t receiving the signals they need to stay strong—no matter how much calcium you consume Next is Calcium: It’s Not Just About Dairy While calcium is important for bone health, dairy isn’t the best or only source. Here's an eye-opener: your body absorbs 50% of the calcium in bok choy compared to just 30% from milk. Plant-based calcium sources, like leafy greens and fortified foods, are not only more absorbable but often come with other nutrients your body loves. Then if your thinking about Vitamin D: The Calcium Absorption Partner let's debunk that myth Calcium needs vitamin D to be absorbed effectively and reach your bones. While milk is often fortified with vitamin D, natural sources like sunlight, fatty fish, egg yolks, and supplements can be even better. Lastly Magnesium: The Missing Piece Magnesium is essential for activating vitamin D and regulating calcium levels in the body. Without adequate magnesium, calcium can’t do its job effectively. Foods rich in magnesium include nuts, seeds, avocados, and dark chocolate. 👉 Want to learn more about the impact on your kids continuous infections? Blood sugar balanced snack
We use this phrase fat, fiber and protein often and here is why. When we eat carbs (which is everything from cookies, bread, rice , quinoa fruits and veggies) we want to slow down the rate of absorption to keep you full longer and to keep the body from having too much sugar in the blood. So here is when you bring in the fat fiber and protein. My kids want a date and instead of giving this to then that contains only natural sugar I add in some grassfed butter in the middle to stabilize their blood sugar . The fat from the butter slows down the rate the date can be used broken down for energy. So think of some snack ideas how can you bring in a fat, fiber or protein into some snacks to help stabilize the blood sugar?

2025 goals?
It's that time the gym is filling up and had me thinking of all you . What are your intentions for the new year ? One of mine is to seek more ways to love where I am in life instead of striving for things I don't . Appreciate what my body does more than what it looks like, appreciating things that don't cost much, loving people exactly for who they are ♥️
