The biggest lie creativity tells us is this:
"I'll start when I feel ready." However, confidence rarely comes first. Action does, every time. Every artist you admire has created work they almost didn't share. Every writer has questioned their words. I know I have! Every entrepreneur has wondered if anyone would care. The difference isn't talent. It's that they kept creating anyway. So here's your reminder today: Don't wait until you're more confident. Create something that makes you more confident. ✨ What's one thing you've been putting off creating? Share it below. Let's encourage each other to finally begin.

I have not been doing my daily walk lately. I decided to create a walking playlist of my favorite music to keep me motivated. 🎧🎼 🚶
A lovely quote
I love this sentiment: "It's not about being good at art. It's about art being good for you." From: @xhamas_creations on IG.

🌸 Which artist makes you want to create?
Not necessarily your favorite artist. The one who makes you think: "I should go make something." For me, it's Vali Myers. I had the privilege of meeting Vali in the late 90s while getting inspired for my own solo art exhibition. She was completely unapologetic in her creativity and lived her life as art. There was something wild, authentic, and unforgettable about her presence that has stayed with me ever since. Whenever I think of Vali, I'm reminded that art doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be alive. Here's a video on her around that time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qv-fLRSD2UE Who is the artist that inspires you to create? 👇 Share their name or photo of their work and tell us why.

I have always been drawn to artists that use playful bright colors. Andy Warhol was a very unique artist that created fun art. I had a portrait of my dog that resembles his style.
What will you create this week?
For those of you that are worried about time, is it possible to set aside a short creativity date with yourself this week? An hour or less is all it takes to make (or at least start) some art or work on your creative projects. Will you set this intention? If you need any encouragement let me know. 🎨

Sarah, I am scaling down bigger needlepoint projects at the moment due to time constraints. I have decided to work on smaller projects. This way I can still feel creative without feeling overwhelmed.

@Sarah Prout Needlepoint is very therapeutic for me. It calms me and helps me stay in the present moment.😊
