✨ Special Welcome to Afwa (Omitola / Erika) ✨
Everyone, please help me welcome a very special new member — Afwa, also known as Omitola and Erica. Omitola is actually the main character in my book Meditations Across the King’s River. Our journey together began in 2016 when I visited her home island of Guadeloupe for the first time. The purpose of my trip was to perform her Hand of Ifa ceremony. At the time, I had no idea that experience would eventually lead me to write a book. But while I was in Guadeloupe, something powerful started happening. Ideas kept coming to me. I felt strongly that my ancestors were speaking and guiding the process. Your ancestors are speaking to you too. The real question is — are you trusting the guidance? Next month we’re going to do a live conversation with Omitola, where she’ll share more about: Her culture and life in Guadeloupe Her interest in African spirituality• How both of our journeys have evolved since the book was published. It’s going to be a powerful discussion and I’m excited for you all to meet her. 👇 Drop a welcome message for Omitola below and also tell us. What makes it difficult for people to trust spiritual guidance, and what has helped you learn to trust it more?

Greetings from Guyana Omitola and welcome!
Gratitude.
As we begin this new month I am wishing everyone on this platform only blessings of success, prosperity, peace and purpose. May we be silent enough to hear the still voice speaking. We give thanks for life and all that endures with it. Much love and blessings 🙌 🙏 ❤️ ✨️

The Power Already Among Us
In today’s Across the King's River newsletter, I shared a powerful reflection inspired by Ines Tola and a profound comment she made here in The King’s Circle about her journey of seeking approval. If you’re not on my mailing list, you can read the full post on my blog: Ines Tola: Exploring Identity, Music, and Writing Across Continents | Across the King's River There is so much wisdom in this circle. We have healers, authors, artists, scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, finance professionals, AI experts, and business leaders among us. I’m truly grateful to grow alongside you. Let’s continue to lean into the depth of expertise here as we move forward — together. Reflection Question Whose gift in this circle have you not fully tapped into yet — and what might open up if you reached out? What genius is already sitting beside you here that could help you move forward faster or wiser?

Black Aviation History in the Making
So proud of Lorenzo and Stan McDuffie for a major breakthrough with the FAA ✈️🔥 Lorenzo is a member of the King’s Circle, and his company, SunEx Aviation, has officially received a Part 135 acceptance letter from the Federal Aviation Administration. This means SunEx Aviation is now formally recognized to provide air passenger and air cargo services — a huge milestone in the aviation industry. What makes this even more powerful: Lorenzo and Stan are among the very few Black-owned aviation schools in the world. And this didn’t happen overnight. The FAA application process began four years ago. Four years of consistency, resilience, and unwavering belief. This is a powerful reminder to all of us: Never give up on your dreams Go all in Stay committed, even when the process is long and challenging: Alongside running his company, Lorenzo has played a major role in helping to build the King’s Circle ecosystem. He consistently pours into others. And the impact doesn’t stop there. Lorenzo and Stan will also be working with the King’s Circle / Across the King’s River Foundation to develop an aviation program for the next generation of pilots. This program will not only teach the technical skills of aviation but will also ground students in African spirituality and Black feminist thought — shaping pilots who are skilled, conscious, rooted, and purpose-driven. This is how legacy is built. Excellence, culture, and community—moving together. Truly honored and blessed to have Lorenzo with us. Let this win inspire someone today 🙌
