Peptide Categories Overview
Peptides can be grouped into different categories based on what they do and how they work in the body. Understanding these categories makes it easier to learn about each peptide and decide which ones you want to learn more about. Fat Loss & Metabolic Health Includes peptides and compounds that support appetite control, metabolism, blood sugar regulation, and fat loss. Examples include semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide, and AOD-9604. Growth Hormone & Recovery Includes peptides that support growth hormone pathways, recovery, healing, and tissue repair. Examples include CJC-1295, ipamorelin, sermorelin, BPC-157, and TB-500. Cognitive & Mood Support Includes peptides commonly used for focus, mental clarity, stress, mood, and cognitive support. Examples include Semax and Selank. Longevity & Cellular Health Focuses on cellular health, mitochondrial function, energy production, repair, and healthy aging. Immune & Inflammation Support Includes peptides used to support healthy inflammatory responses, immune function, and recovery. Sexual Health Includes peptides such as PT-141 that work through the central nervous system and can affect libido and sexual function.

WHERE DO YOUR PEPTIDES ACTUALLY COME FROM
Something I misunderstood when I first started researching peptides was assuming that buying from a Canadian or American company meant the peptides were actually manufactured there. The reality is that a large amount of the world's peptide raw materials are manufactured overseas, particularly in China. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with peptides coming from China. China has manufacturers producing extremely high quality products, including facilities operating to very high manufacturing standards. What matters isn't the country. It's the manufacturer, their standards, testing and transparency. A company can be Canadian or American, package and ship its products from Canada or the USA, and still source the actual peptide from China. In fact, that is what 100% of companies are doing in Canada, so if they are telling you it comes from a lab in Canada, ask them where their raw material comes from.

SELANK + SEMAX NASAL SPRAY UPDATE
I wanted to give a little update on how things have been going since I started trying Selank and Semax as nasal sprays. I have high-functioning ADHD, and one of my biggest struggles is getting distracted. My brain can have 47 tabs open at once 😂. I’ll start doing one thing, notice something else that needs to be done, move onto that, and suddenly I’ve started five different things without finishing the first one. So far, I’m actually really liking these. The biggest thing I’ve personally noticed is focus. I feel like it’s easier to stay on one task, get through it and move onto the next thing without my brain constantly pulling me in another direction. I also feel more mentally clear and productive without feeling like I’m overly stimulated or “wired.” From what I’ve been learning, Selank has primarily been researched around anxiety and stress, while Semax has been researched more around neurological and cognitive effects. For me, this is purely sharing my own experience, but so far the difference in my ability to focus and actually finish what I start has been really interesting. I’m going to keep paying attention to: ✨ Focus ✨ Distraction ✨ Mental clarity ✨ Motivation/productivity ✨ Stress and feeling overwhelmed ✨ Sleep ✨ Any side effects I’ll update again once I’ve used them longer because I want to see whether what I’m noticing continues. Has anyone else tried Selank or Semax? I’d love to hear what you noticed! 👇 Just sharing my personal experience and what I’m learning along the way. This isn’t medical advice.

FOOD & NUTRITION | CROCKPOT CREAMY CHICKEN TACO BOWLS
If you’re feeding a small army like I am 😂, crockpot meals are a lifesaver. This one is EASY, packed with protein, and makes a big batch. Throw everything in before the afternoon chaos starts and dinner is basically done. 🙌 🌮 CROCKPOT CREAMY CHICKEN TACO BOWLS Feeds approximately 8–10 Ingredients: • 4 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts • 2 packets taco seasoning • 2 cups salsa • 2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed • 2 cans corn, drained • 1 can diced tomatoes • 1 block light cream cheese • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt • 1–2 cups chicken broth, as needed • Cooked rice for serving Optional toppings: Shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, green onions, cilantro, extra salsa or crushed tortilla chips. Directions: Add the chicken to your crockpot and sprinkle the taco seasoning over top. Add salsa, black beans, corn, diced tomatoes and about 1 cup of chicken broth. Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and easily shreds. Shred the chicken right in the crockpot. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and creamy. Turn the crockpot off and stir in the Greek yogurt at the end. Add a little more broth if you want it saucier. Serve over rice and let everyone add their own toppings! 💪 WHY I LOVE THIS ONE ✔️ High protein ✔️ Feeds a big family ✔️ Minimal prep ✔️ Budget friendly ✔️ Great for leftovers ✔️ Everyone can customize their own bowl Want to lighten it up? Use more chicken mixture and veggies with a smaller serving of rice and cheese. Need more calories for the kids? Give them a bigger serving of rice, cheese, avocado or tortilla chips. ✨ Healthy eating doesn’t have to mean cooking a “diet meal” for yourself and then another dinner for everyone else. Make ONE meal and adjust the portions and toppings to fit everyone. Save this one for a busy weeknight! ❤️

LET’S TALK ABOUT FOOD NOISE + GLP-1s
One of the things I hear people talk about ALL the time after starting a GLP-1 is: “I didn’t realize how much I thought about food until I suddenly didn’t.” That constant mental chatter has become known as food noise. Food noise isn’t necessarily physical hunger. It can look more like: • Thinking about what you’re going to eat next while you’re still eating • Constant cravings or thoughts about certain foods • Walking through the kitchen and automatically looking for something to snack on • Feeling like food is constantly taking up space in your brain • Thinking about food even when you know you aren’t actually hungry • Feeling distracted by cravings or having a hard time shutting those thoughts off For many people, one of the most surprising effects of GLP-1 medications isn’t just eating less. It’s how quiet their brain suddenly becomes around food. And there’s actually research starting to support this. A 2026 study involving 550 people using injectable semaglutide found a substantial reduction in reported food noise after starting treatment. Before treatment, 47–63% reported different forms of problematic food thoughts. After starting semaglutide, that dropped to around 15–20%. But here’s something else that’s important to understand: FOOD NOISE CAN COME BACK. Maybe you had almost zero cravings when you first started, and several months later you suddenly find yourself thinking about food again. That doesn’t automatically mean your GLP-1 has “stopped working.” Appetite regulation is complicated. Your body adapts, hunger and fullness signals change as you lose weight, stress and sleep can affect appetite, and the appetite-suppressing effects of these medications may feel different over time. BEFORE ASSUMING YOU NEED A HIGHER DOSE, LOOK AT WHAT YOU’RE EATING. GLP-1s can make it incredibly easy to eat very little, but eating less isn’t always better. If you’re consistently under-eating, especially protein and fibre, your body may simply be telling you it needs more nutrition.
