Be carful when submitting to KDP
Ok this is a copied post... not my account but I wanted to share, to warn people when they submit to KDP to make sure they fill out the AI generated section carfuly "Warning to all fellow Amazon KDP creators! I want to share a painful lesson I recently learned, hoping it will help you protect your hard work. After 3 months of daily effort pouring my heart into creating educational materials and books, my Amazon account was permanently terminated. The reason? A simple human error regarding the AI-disclosure checkbox (using Google Gemini for illustrations) on one of my latest books. Even though I spent hours manually designing the layouts and structures, missing that single checkbox in the metadata form triggered an automated alert that ended in a full account termination for 'manipulating services'. What I want you to learn from my experience: - Be 100% transparent: If you use AI (even just for illustrations or content assistance), always disclose it during the publishing process. Amazon does not play around with their Content Guidelines. - Don't take risks: Their algorithms are incredibly rigid. Any suspicion of undeclared or duplicate content can lead to an immediate ban, loss of bookshelf access, and forfeiture of your royalties. - Double-check everything: Even if you are tired or in a hurry, double-check your submission forms. A single second of oversight can wipe out months of genuine, passionate work. Protect your accounts and stay extremely vigilant with their rules! I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I am facing right now. Wishing you all the best of luck with your projects!"

it appears they dont care I have talked to the poster they told him lifetime ban - was 1st offense
Should I ban em-dashes "—"?
A lot (like A LOT) of clients are complaining that they don't want to see these AI em-dashes. Should I ban them 👉 "—"? And just keep the occasional regular, small "-" ?

Here in the US, they’re rarely used anymore. We’ve butchered the English language to the point where we probably need to rename it. Maybe they could just make it a setting so it’s optional?
Anyone ever write a non AI book to understand whats needed from AI?
I am wondering how many of you have attempted to write a book without using AI? I’m currently at a 50/50 split. While the "real" manual process definitely takes longer, you can still use AI to proofread and identify errors that might negatively impact your reader ratings. Beyond that, the time spent building a fiction or non-fiction book entirely on your own provides invaluable insight into exactly what to look for when you are refining your AI-assisted work. I realize some people simply download and upload raw AI-generated content, but true quality comes from you—the person on the cover next to the words "written by." No matter how good Zigmar makes this platform, for the foreseeable future, tone and personality must come from the human touch.

@Mitch White Mitch as you know the standard fiction book has stages (listed below.) even if they are not stated loadly like ACT 1, ACT 2 ect. Now book nova is better than most AI and getting better all the time but often you start with ideas in Exposition or Rising Action for instance. and AI simple Might refer to it later, or simply foprget it. But the real issue is AI will change the premise. For instance "Josephine looked upon him shyly, but those blue eyes revealed her attraction to him." but later in the story you get "A quiet sorrow lingered in the depths of Josephine’s brown eyes." even non AI writers need to keep a notebook when writing about something so when they come back to it they story jives. 1. Exposition (The Status Quo) What happens: The story introduces the protagonist, the setting, and the normal, everyday state of their life, often referred to as the "Ordinary World." The catalyst: An inciting incident occurs—a disruption or conflict that pulls the protagonist out of their comfort zone. 2. Rising Action (The Journey) What happens: This is the longest section of the book. The protagonist attempts to solve the problem introduced by the inciting incident, encountering a series of obstacles, allies, and enemies along the way. The turning point: The stakes rise as the main character approaches the midpoint of their journey. 3. Climax (The Turning Point) What happens: This is the highest point of tension or conflict in the story. The protagonist comes face-to-face with their central antagonist, core fear, or primary challenge. The shift: The character typically experiences an internal revelation or a significant change, putting everything on the line to defeat the central problem. 4. Falling Action (The Aftermath) What happens: The tension begins to decrease. The story addresses the direct fallout and consequences of the climax. 5. Resolution (The New Normal) What happens: The conflict is officially settled, subplots are tied up, and the protagonist returns to a "new normal." The character is permanently changed by their adventure.

AI Credits
Those who watch the AI world know how expensive ai credits can be. Fewer and fewer providers give lifetime credits. More and more they are moving to a monthly subscription model that can change how many credits you get and how much they charge. By having a lifetime plan @Zigmars Berzins and BN do a courageous thing that puts creators first. I see that same commitment here that emphasizes quality over quick profits.

@Joe Wadas Enjoy the lifetime. I am not sure of Zigmar's future plans, but in many cases, a lifetime license is only offered when a product is new to raise the funds needed to get the product off the ground. I would not blame Zigmar if, in the future, the lifetime license goes away for new customers, leaving that option only for the "founders." It makes great business sense. I was really shocked when he doubled the credit offer a couple of weeks ago, which I bought—not because I need that many per month, but to support the platform. In reality, with my system, I still need a few days to take these books and humanize or expand them.
