@Mitch White Mitch as you know the standard fiction book has stages (listed below.) even if they are not stated loadly like ACT 1, ACT 2 ect. Now book nova is better than most AI and getting better all the time but often you start with ideas in Exposition or Rising Action for instance. and AI simple Might refer to it later, or simply foprget it. But the real issue is AI will change the premise. For instance "Josephine looked upon him shyly, but those blue eyes revealed her attraction to him." but later in the story you get "A quiet sorrow lingered in the depths of Josephine’s brown eyes." even non AI writers need to keep a notebook when writing about something so when they come back to it they story jives. 1. Exposition (The Status Quo) What happens: The story introduces the protagonist, the setting, and the normal, everyday state of their life, often referred to as the "Ordinary World." The catalyst: An inciting incident occurs—a disruption or conflict that pulls the protagonist out of their comfort zone. 2. Rising Action (The Journey) What happens: This is the longest section of the book. The protagonist attempts to solve the problem introduced by the inciting incident, encountering a series of obstacles, allies, and enemies along the way. The turning point: The stakes rise as the main character approaches the midpoint of their journey. 3. Climax (The Turning Point) What happens: This is the highest point of tension or conflict in the story. The protagonist comes face-to-face with their central antagonist, core fear, or primary challenge. The shift: The character typically experiences an internal revelation or a significant change, putting everything on the line to defeat the central problem. 4. Falling Action (The Aftermath) What happens: The tension begins to decrease. The story addresses the direct fallout and consequences of the climax. 5. Resolution (The New Normal) What happens: The conflict is officially settled, subplots are tied up, and the protagonist returns to a "new normal." The character is permanently changed by their adventure.
