Now I know many will not agree with what I'm about to say, but the popular belief that Jesus was crucified on Friday evening cannot be correct if He rose again on Sunday. Friday to Saturday equals 1 DAY, Saturday to Sunday equals the SECOND day. And it is vitally important to remember we are not talking morning to morning, we are talking about an evening to evening timeline. So, in order for Christ to rise on Sunday, He would have to have been crucified on either Wednesday or Thursday. Since it was evening, Wednesday fits the EASTER SUNDAY RISING timeline the best. Pilate, as was the practice of most Roman rulers, held court in the morning time. And the scourging Christ withstood would have taken place AFTER. Then He was forced to carry His cross, AFTER being battered, bruised and having the flesh torn from His body. It is only realistic to think that the cross was extremely heavy as he fell under it's weight multiple times. So the forced march to "the hill" would have been a VERY slow one. This indicates an early evening CRUCIFIXION as the people WATCHED as He was nailed to the Cross and Died. NO STREET LIGHTS, and torches would not have given enough lumination. On the other hand, if Jesus WAS crucified on Friday night, He would have risen on either Monday NIGHT or Tuesday MORNING, NOT Sunday! Another important factor to consider, is the Jewish people celebrated the Sabbath from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. And we KNOW from Scripture that Jesus did not die right away once nailed to the cross. It would have been sacrilege for the Jews to leave Jesus hanging on the cross after death. And considering how long it might have taken Him to finally die, a Friday crucifixion would easily have violated the Sabbath Law. Friday to Sunday DENIES the Rising after THREE DAYS. And we KNOW Christ, HIMSELF, told us He would rise again AFTER three days. That is not debatable. Now I DO have my thoughts on why the Catholic church established the timeline that is most commonly followed, but that is something for a different message.

@Terry Tucker My worship team and I performed Man In The Middle during our Worship Service. It was very well recieved. Thank You for permitting us to share it.
Dead Weight
A young man mockingly said to a preacher, " You say that unsaved people carry a great weight of sin, Frankly, I feel nothing. How heavy is sin? Ten pounds? Fifty pounds? Eighty pounds? One hundred pounds?" The preacher thought for a moment and gently replied, "If you laid a four hundred pound weight on a corpse, would it feel the load?" The young man was quick to respond, "Of course not; it's dead!" The preacher replied, "The person who doesn't know Christ is equally dead. And though the load is great, he feels none of it."

Where is your focus?
Focus on Jesus, not the storm. Focus on Jesus, not the struggle. Focus on Jesus, not the pain. Focus on Jesus, not the worry. Focus on Jesus, not the stress. Focus on Jesus, not the past. Focus on Jesus, not the world. Focus on Jesus, not the distraction. FOCUS ON JESUS!
