@Bri Morgan great freakin film! My 2 cents… Ask a lot of questions when you go live. Your intuition will kick in and your dialogue will give you lots of talking points and feedback. We master things as we teach! Go for it 😛

@Scott Weller interesting way to get over my hesitancy. I’m game to try something. How long should I commit to this “dress rehearsal” for? How will I choose indicators to continue or not? Grateful for your tips!
Thankful Thursday - The Inspirational Comeback of Alex Smith
Alex Smith’s story is one of the most inspiring tales of perseverance and gratitude in the world of professional football. A former No. 1 overall NFL draft pick, Smith’s career faced what many thought was an insurmountable challenge after he suffered a devastating leg injury in 2018 while playing for the Washington Football Team (now known as the Washington Commanders). Smith’s injury was not just career-threatening; it was life-threatening. He suffered a compound fracture that led to an infection, and doctors considered amputation to save his life. What followed was a grueling journey through 17 surgeries, countless hours of physical therapy, and the ever-present risk of never being able to walk normally again, let alone return to professional football. Throughout this ordeal, Smith’s gratitude for the support of his family, medical team, and fans shone brightly. He frequently spoke about how thankful he was for the opportunity to recover, for the people around him, and for each small step forward, no matter how challenging the road seemed. In a turn of events that seemed almost miraculous, Alex Smith made a return to the NFL, less than two years after his injury. His first game back was an emotional moment for sports fans around the world, a testament to his incredible resilience, dedication, and gratitude for every moment he got to play the game he loved. Smith’s comeback not only earned him the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year Award but also served as a powerful reminder of the human spirit’s capacity to overcome adversity. His story teaches us about the importance of gratitude, the strength found in community and support, and the incredible things we can achieve when we remain thankful and resilient in the face of challenges. Alex Smith’s journey is a vivid example of how gratitude can transform adversity into triumph, making it a perfect story to share as morning inspiration within your community for Thankful Thursday. In the comments below, let the community know, what are you thankful for?

Great story. What a great fight for something so precious. Hard to top that epic comeback! Still, I’m grateful for the conditions that allow me to fight to be an entrepreneur, specifically Virtual School for my teenager that makes us 100% mobile and not bound by “system time”. We literally make our own schedule in time and space. That has been a big W. Grateful for the academics that have made virtual school for kids so straightforward and possible! Grateful for my kid who’s been asking me to take him out of school for years! Grateful to my ex who listened to me and didn’t put up any roadblocks. Grateful for my parents who gave me mental support when I told them I’m making this decision and I wanted them to be open and supportive. Truth be told I would have done it anyway, but I’m grateful these people respect my choices after I made an effort to communicate well with them. It’s freedom really… I will always be grateful for freedom
