Has your club/crew ever staged a capsize drill? If yes, what was the protocol and how would you improve it, if at all? If no, how would you structure one? #level1

Since some crews have put their boats in storage...maybe try some virtual paddling? Excited to share a playable MVP (minimum viable product) I’ve been building: Serene Waters - Dragon Boat Run! 🐉🌊 The goal was to create a fun, accessible dragon boat runner experience that anyone can jump into directly from their browser. Since this is an early MVP version, I’m looking for player feedback on the feel, pacing, and gameplay! Take it for a quick spin here: https://w.run/dragonboatmvp/serene-waters-dragon-boat-run Would love to hear your thoughts—what works, and what would you love to see added next? 🛠️🎮

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a dragon boat directory website named Dragon Boat Helper under the domain dragonboat.help. The website has many objectives (but I'll keep this post short), and one of them is to provide a list of available/useful resources (Dragon Boat Resources & Guides) to the dragon boat community that paddlers can reference on their athlete journey. I've only added a handful of https://dragonboat.help/resources/websites that I have come across in the past, but I figured that there's more out there on the interwebs that people here have come across. If there is a resource that you would like me to add, please let me know on here and why. Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone, I'm currently updating a dragon boat events calendar for 2027 events available here: Dragon Boat Events & Regattas Calendar | Dragon Boat Directory The aim of this page is to let it be a good reference tool that's easy to use for team leaders planning out their next paddling season. If there's an event that I'm missing, which is very likely the case as my event list is mainly located in North America, you can either submit the event here (New Event | Dragon Boat Directory) or share a link to the event website with a graphic + details and I will add it myself. Note that some organizers are still confirming their 2027 event dates, but I can still put a placeholder for that event if a month is known (guestimate it). As always, I'm open to suggestions and feedback.

So pleased to officially announce that Dragon Boat Canada Hall of Famer Jim Farintosh will be kicking off the summit for us on November 7, and it’s a session you don’t want to miss. “Legend” is not a label I give lightly but for Jim it’s actually an understatement. When I was just starting out in the sport I watched his teams with awe. Any race I was at, I made sure I was watching when the Hammerheads were on the course. Little did I know how much more there was to pay attention to! Among other things, Jim helped launch Canada's dragon boat community, began coaching Canadian dragon boat teams in 1996, acted as a commentator for events like the Canadian Dragon Boat Championships, founded the long-running Bow Wave (Space Coast) training camp in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, started the Pickering Race Camp in Frenchman's Bay, Ontario, and is the author of “Mostly Dragon Boat...Tips, Tales and Lessons Learned.” Grab your summit ticket here: https://buy.stripe.com/dRm9AT6XJfFe3qg8vngUM02
