What on earth is the Meta Pixel? πŸ€”
I get asked this question all the time so lets break it down... The Meta Pixel is a tiny piece of code that lives on your website. You can't see it. Your website visitors can't see it. But it's working behind the scenes every single day. Think of it like a shop assistant who remembers every person who walks through your door. They notice who came in, what they looked at, how long they stayed, and whether they signed up or made a booking. Then they pass all of that information back to Meta. ➑️ Why does it matter? When someone visits your website, the Pixel sees them. It tells Meta: this real person visited this page. Meta then starts to learn what kind of people are interested in your dance school. The more people who visit your site, the smarter the Pixel gets. And the smarter the Pixel gets, the better Meta becomes at finding more people just like them. Without the Pixel, your ads are guessing. With it, they are learning. ➑️ How does it help your dance school? Here are three big things the Pixel does for you: It tracks where your leads come from. When a parent fills in your enquiry form, the Pixel knows your ad helped make that happen. That means you can see which ads are actually working. It builds a picture of your ideal customer. Over time, Meta learns what parents who enquire about your classes have in common. It uses that to find more parents like them and show them your ads. It helps your ads get better over time. Every click, every form fill, every page visit teaches the system something new. The longer your Pixel has been running and collecting data, the more powerful your campaigns become. ➑️ The bottom line The Pixel is not optional if you want your Meta ads to work properly. It is the foundation everything else is built on. No Pixel means no data. No data means no learning. No learning means wasted money.

Hi Sally, I previously installed the pixel on my website (a number of years ago), but have had problems with it actually working correctly. I'd contacted meta and someone looked at it but they weren't very helpful in trying to sort it. Is there a way of checking it's working and, if it's not, is it something that can be uninstalled and reinstalled again? For context, I have a wix website.
Winning!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5pm Friday and I just want to share some big wins from the last week πŸ˜€ 1. Conversion event for preschool classes on Tuesday - 20 booked in, 16 attended, and 9 enrolments from it 🀩🀩🀩🀩🀩 2. Switched to paid trials and 6 booked already πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’΅ 3. Assessments student numbers up from last year with 1 week left to register 4. Found out my social media scheduling software can do more channels than I knew about (HELLO re-purposed content!!) 5. Actually ticked off EVERYTHING for my to-do list for the week. What the....?!?!?!? That never happens! My team and I have worked soooooo hard this past 12 months to get good systems in place and work on our marketing plan. And they deserve credit too. I'm not putting this here just to brag (ok, maybe a tiny, tiny bit cause I'm excited!) - I want to celebrate and encourage you too. A couple of years ago I was that studio owner drowning in 'stuff to do', and no idea how to really market my business. I used to read about those 'other' studio owners who were killing it and think that would never be me. It's been a hard slog, but the work is paying off. You can be awesome too. πŸ’›πŸ§‘πŸ’š Go get it!!! (And now it's wine o'clock πŸ·πŸ˜†)

Congratulations Helen! It sounds like you've really put the graft in so you should absolutely be proud of sharing that! One of my key focuses this year is getting a lot more systems in place, so for me this is very motivating. One question: what social media scheduling software do you use?
How are you using AI in your Dance Studio?
AI is everywhere right now and I know a lot of you are experimenting with it, or using it regularly. But I'm curious to know the REAL picture of how studio owners are actually using it day-to-day. Pick the option from the list below that sounds most like you right now πŸ‘‡ Oh, and drop a comment below and tell me: πŸ‘‰ Which platform are you using? (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, something else entirely?) No judgment here... We're all figuring this out together and I genuinely want to know where everyone is atπŸ₯°

I use ChatGPT most days. I've trained it to sound more like me. I use it for emails but also for creating content plans, workshop and event ideas. It's even recently helped me to learn to use Audacity! I've also heard lots of good things about Claude so I'd like to look into that too.
Banners
Hi Sally, I'm looking to update the banner I have for outside my halls. I was just wondering what key things I need to include on the banner? We offer classes for children and adults, and multiple genres. Also what CTA works best. Here's a link to what I've created so far. One of our venues is next door to a primary school so I thought an image of a younger age group would be most beneficial. https://canva.link/s85klkapfh1m6f5

@Sally Prendergast Thank you so much! You always give such detailed and thoughtful advice πŸ₯° Here's the link again, with the updated sharing settings https://canva.link/s85klkapfh1m6f5
Instagram reel views
Hi @Sally Prendergast I’ve just seen that one of our recent Instagram reels has reached over 1.2k views – which is significantly higher than our usual performance. How do I analyse the results to see what made it work so well? E.g. can I find out if it was the content type, the length, music used, hashtags etc. Is it something we can intentionally replicate? Also, how can we repurpose this reel? For example: - Reposting at a later date - Turning it into a pinned reel - Reworking the same format with new footage Thank you!

Hi @Sally Prendergast thank you so much, this is amazingly helpful! (That's the correct post.) We'll definitely implement those ideas and do more content that shows progression - in fact, we've got another reel scheduled for tomorrow for this same class showing further progress πŸ˜„
