@Jim Flach ahhh... I don't know if the picture itself is as abstract as you explained it if I'm honest. To me anyways....🤣😂😂😂. It's almost like a few words put onto an off centre group picture. It's not going what it's meant to, is what I'm getting at. I think it'sore up do with the core messaging not being as 'pronounced ' enough on its visual format? It makes sense in my head, but reading my own comment back, I need to clarify a bit🫣. There's no central message that jumps out in the picture oh s what I'm attempting to get at. As usual though, I agree with how you expound on community building direction and culture. At its very core, if there's no 'care' aspect to it, it will wither and die. It's just what it is. It's akin to any relationship or garden....if it's not tended to or watered, it dries up really. You do a great job of keeping the engagement to centre of your discussions I feels. Very refreshing...😎🤔🙏👌
Truth and kindness belong together.
Came across this today. Made me wonder, are we teaching our children classical wisdom. Classical wisdom is the old, time-tested teaching that helps people live with better judgment, stronger character, clearer thinking, and deeper purpose. It is not just old books. It is the steady wisdom passed down through scripture, history, philosophy, literature, nature, family practice, and lived experience. Classical wisdom teaches us how to become the kind of person who can think clearly, choose wisely, and live with purpose.

I'm with you 💯 on this one @Jim Flach . I've always taught my children 'the value of consequences '... Everything has a consequence value to it. Do dumb stuff...reap dumbass results Be an honest person... You will value honesty when it is offered Be lazy.... Expect the exact results of your laziness to get you round the bend Be kind to others... And you inevitably will find kindness has a way of finding your address And on and on that string flows.... It's interesting because now they are older, they use the same logic to keep me accountable as well 🤣🤣😂🤣.

Thanks for the mention @Jim Flach ....😁🔥💥 . I'm pretty sure 'earth day is more of an American thing like your 'world series' that only played in the USA 😂🤣😂. I'm at minding out a lot of different things Americans take for granted as 'normal' are really only well known and "normal" to you guys hey. I thought it was just me, so today I asked around all my work colleagues... Romanians, Irish, Scottish, English, French and Nigerian... Not one knew what 'earth day' was. It's a novel idea reading about it since you mentioned it the other day. But yes.... 'earth day' for me in particular is EVERY DAY for SURE 😃 😊 😁🤗🤔. Love the integration that's here on SKOOL, something new to learn aaaaalll the time... Keep them coming chief..👌👌🙌

@Larry Baracco What will you be growing this year? What do you have in the ground now?

@Jim Flach absolutely, I lost a lot of footage on my old phone when we were doing that part. Will repeat it the next rains in the expansion areas for the orchards. I actually think it's a much better system than digging excavations to contour in smaller areas. Time will tell really. Larger areas of course, swales are much more efficient, no question.

@Jim Flach exactly my thinking with this approach. Plus the added advantage of the root system is major for me too
No Land? We Can Still Build an Oasis
One of the biggest myths people carry when thinking about permaculture is: “I cannot make a difference because I do not have land.” Permaculture was never only about owning acreage. Permaculture begins with how we see and care for ourselves, as well as those around us. Permaculture begins with noticing patterns, reducing waste, stacking purpose, building health, growing what we can, sharing what we have, caring for people and place. Permaculture is simply caring. Caring to grow healthy plants on a porch, in pots, by a doorway, on a patio, or on a balcony. Caring to share our knowledge in a neighbor’s yard, at a school, in a community bed, or in a borrowed space. Caring to shop mindfully, cook from whole foods, compost our scraps, save seed, support a local grower, and help lives grow where we stand. Caring to plant one herb, one flower, one berry bush to provide another place for a pollinator to visit. No land does not mean, no influence. It only means we start with the space, relationships, and resources we have. We can teach children where food comes from, or how natures cycles are beautifully woven. Most Oases do not start big. They start where our feet are. They start with what we are given today. Simply learning, or teaching our family, how to live a little closer to nature. By making one positive step forward, each step stacks along the way. Our health grows. Our confidence grows. Our skill grows. Our community grows. So, if someone says, “I do not have land,” we can gently say: Maybe not yet, but we still have our body, mind, and soul to make mindful choices. We still have community. We still have the ability to build health into life, for us and those around us. The key is small rooted action, repeated over time. Start where you stand today. Grow what you can. Share what you know. That is how barrenness slowly becomes your Oasis.

Intentional action speaks more volume than just doing stuff and planning. So yeah, you're absolutely right, man. I agree with this.
