How I wrote this post
Anytime there’s some controversial topic that’s going viral on X, I like to take the original post and do the opposite viewpoint I thought to myself: “you know how people are always posting stories about their lawn/pressure washing/whatever guy and asking him how much he makes- what if I did that, but the guy had the most cynical response possible?”

Threads
Threads is super underrated Starting an account for Chase there on Saturday. Reworked some of my old material and had several go viral there. +14.9k followers in just two days. Seems like a lot of the hooks and formats that people have used over and over again on X are still fresh and new to Threads users.
Payout Breakdown
Had one of my biggest weeks for the Mason Home Builder account earlier this month. Wanted to give a breakdown of the analytics and how much the payout was. Analytics (2 week period) - 32 million impressions - 389k engagements - ~7k new followers Payout: $1,300.41 That boils down to about $0.04 per 1,000 impressions Over 90% of the impressions came from just 3 posts (second screenshot is my top posts for the period - keep in mind the numbers shown are in total, so these posts accumulated more views after the pay period ended, so the numbers add up to more than 32m here) A few lessons: - Even though I posted 50 times, only 3 posts really ended up mattering - Momentum is key. Was so much easier to go viral once I already had a different post going viral. Lots of new followers were ready to engage with my next post. - Payouts are still low compared to the total effort. Super happy I got $1,300, but I probably spent 20 hours for that money. When you count up all the additional time building up the account while not getting paid much, it's a low hourly rate. That's why it's hard to make good money just from X payouts. You'd have to be going viral every single day to achieve that. That's why I always think of the X payout as a nice little bonus on top of my client writing business.
Payout Breakdown
Mason Update
Just had the best two week period for my Mason Home Builder account. Key has been taking advantage of momentum. Had one post go viral, so I kept going hard with similar posts that took the original viral post a bit further. Guess what my payout will be on Friday

@Chris Haynes just one. Way better to have one great account than several mediocre ones.
Fake text
@Charlie Light this fake text thing is hilarious. I take the real scammy emails I get in the morning. Copy them into a fake text message maker, tweak a little and then post to LinkedIn Does numbers so far. Amusing fishing in a barrel
