Hi I am Chris, I live in Hamilton, NZ. I am a bit older, and am just navigating a redundancy which has turned my side hustle into my main gig! I have been coaching TEDx speakers for over a decade, and have coached well over 100 at this stage. I did it voluntarily at first, then charged to do it on the side. And now it is [gulp] my business. Fun Facts: I am an award winning filmmaker, I have been a stunt extra and appeared on TV, cable and movies. I used to run a Kyokushin Karate Dojo, and I have a fun casual podcast that has been going for about 12 years (episode 593 of our weekly podcast will go out this week). 😃 Right now I am doing a launch of a coaching program for experts and business owners who want to put together their message from the stage. The launch and the program is all being done through Skool. 🤩

And I’m not sharing that as a “look at me” post. I’m sharing it for anyone in here who has an idea for a community, just started one, or is staring at a small member count wondering if it can actually turn into something. **𝗜𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻.** One of the best things I did was get into @Jennifer Turner 's VIP coaching and actually LOCK IN. Not just listen to the calls and think, “Oh, that’s a good idea.” Actually implement what she was teaching. But probably the biggest thing I’ve learned through all of this? **𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁. 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀.** Before worrying about how many people are joining, focus on the people who are already there. What do they need? What are they struggling with? What would make them excited to come back tomorrow? I’m still learning. I’m still building. And I definitely don’t have everything figured out. 😂 But 200+ members in 48 days has shown me what can happen when you stop overthinking every move, learn from someone who knows what they’re doing, and actually implement it. So if you’re sitting on your community idea or feeling discouraged because yours isn’t growing as fast as you hoped, **keep going.** Serve the people you have. Pay attention. Learn. Implement. Adjust.
