Free, Natural Laundry Detergent
I’ll admit was very skeptical about this one…laundry detergent made from ivy leaves?! But thought I would give it a go before I dismissed it completely and I’m sold. Got the recipe from Nancy Birtwhistle during an attempt to rid the house from as many chemicals as we could. You basically pick a big bunch of ivy which we have growing everywhere! Bigger leaves with lots of veins are best. Rinse them, cut into strips and put in a pot of water and boil then simmer for twenty minutes. Let it cool and that’s it! The leaves are full of saponins which make the suds. Cool and bottle then put two tablespoons in a cup in the drum of your washing machine. Add two tablespoons of washing soda to the drawer to soften the water and run on a long, cool cycle (uses less electricity too). Clothes come out smelling fresh. You can add essential oils if you want a fragrance. (Ignore the poison label on the bottle, it was a leftover Halloween decoration 😂)

Might try this out
5, 4, 3, 2, 1…Go!
What are you stuck on today? Having a shower? Putting that load of washing away? Lifting clothes off the bathroom floor? Whatever it is, I want you to take a moment now and countdown from 5. When you get to 1, get up immediately, no excuses…do that one thing. Just that one thing. This closes a loop that has been running in the back of your mind, taking up space and energy. Tell me how you feel afterwards 😁

Weekly Reset
Its Sunday which is usually the day I do my weekly reset (other days might work better for you). I have struggled to find a balance between making everything PERFECT, and enjoying time off with my family so over time, this has been distilled down so that I spend no more than 3 hours max (and usually much less!) just getting the house in a 'good enough' order for the week starting tomorrow. Below is my weekly reset plan (broken into stages). You can pick and choose, or follow along exactly. I'd love to know what works for you and what doesn't. Rules: - No deep cleaning. - No organising drawers. - No starting projects you can’t finish. - Phone away unless used as a timer or for music. You’re aiming for visible order and mental relief. Not a full clean! First things first, clear the noise! Kitchen reset (30 mins): Do this in order: - Empty dishwasher / drain rack - Load everything dirty (even if it’s not “full”) - Wipe only surfaces you touch (worktops, sink, hob) - Take rubbish + recycling out Stop when it looks calm, not perfect. A reset kitchen quietly removes background stress for the rest of the day. 2. One laundry action (15 mins) Pick one: - Put a load on - Fold what’s already dry - Strip beds and start wash One action only. 3. Quick floor sweep (15 mins) - High-traffic areas only - No moving furniture - No getting on hands and knees This is about sensory calm. Clean floors change how a house feels instantly. 4. Living area reset (25 mins) Set a timer. - Remove anything that doesn’t belong there and dump it in a basket - Straighten cushions - Clear surfaces Do not deal with that basket yet! 5. Bedroom reset (20 mins) This is about tonight, not Instagram. - Make the bed - Clear bedside tables - Put tomorrow’s clothes out (even roughly) This makes tonight more restful and tomorrow calmer. 6. Deal with the “dump basket” (15 mins) Now you return things: - If it takes under 30 seconds → do it - If not → park it in a single “to deal with” spot

The First Challenge of 2026
To support momentum over the 12 weeks, we’re running a challenge alongside the course with a chance to win £30. 🎟️ How you earn entries: You can earn up to 24 entries into a prize draw: - 1 entry for each module you complete (12 modules in total) - 1 entry for joining that week’s module chat (posting or reacting both count) - There may be some bonus entries over the course of the 12 weeks! That’s it. 💰 At the end of the 12 weeks, one person will be picked at random to receive £30 cash. ‼️ Important bit: This isn’t about perfection or keeping up every week. It’s just a nudge to keep showing up and letting the system do its thing. I’ll track entries in the background, you don’t need to do anything extra. ☘️ Good luck!
