Distant Reiki Session Resources
I've been putting together resources for distant Reiki sessions and I keep second-guessing myself. What would actually be useful to YOU? A guided meditation to use during the session? A prep guide? How to follow-up the session? Tell me what's missing for you.

Room Spinning
Hello my friends! Jay, this is a question for you. I practiced reiki on my client again today for a little bit longer time period than yesterday (25 minutes compared to 15). Yesterday, I did not do the choku rei symbols all over the walls/floor/ceiling, just on my client before and afterwards. Today I remembered to do walls/etc. When I was done, she was very relaxed and happy and said her heart palpitations went away - yay! She went back to her bed to rest some more. I heard her calling me a few minutes later, but I was helping her husband who has Parkinson’s do some exercises (and then he allowed me to Reiki him, too!), so I could not go back to her until about 20 minutes later. When I went to talk to her, she told me that when she sat up the second time, the room was spinning. She said it spun about seven or eight times before she realized her heart palpitations came back and she put her CPAP machine back on. I have heard of someone being dizzy after receiving Reiki before, but I believe that practitioner thought she knew specifically which chakras needed to be turned in which direction and that he was completely out of balance energetically, so when he stood up, it showed up physically. My client wanted me to ask you about this. What are your insights/experience with this?

@Jay Jackson she is 82 and has chronic anxiety, so if she feels heart palpitations during the day, then yes, she will put on her CPAP. Her younger son died in 2023, which has added a deep layer of grief on top of her already existing anxiety. I did ask AI in the meantime before you responded and the answer was very similar to what you just said - Her body is in fight or flight mode the majority of the time, so when she was in the Reiki session, she was able to be in rest and digest mode (I can’t remember which is parasympathetic and which is sympathetic nervous system). Shortly after the session ended, however, her body went right back to its normal state of fight or flight activation. It seems to me that her sessions should be longer and ideally more frequent – what do you think?
