Having ADHD I love this approach to working out. I also found creating a visual tracker with three levels of excellence helps build the habit of working out in general. You take a circle split it into 30 parts and create three different levels of excellence. Kind of like small, medium large, and assign a color to it. Each day you color in the sliver of what level of excellence you reached.

Here a little about me and my fit dad journey: On my wedding day, 14 years ago, I was just shy of 300lbs. I yoyo'd for years with my weight, but never had a drive to keep it off. Then I had my oldest son and got my annual bloodwork back. Doc told me I was on the road to diabetes, even though I had just recently finished a sprint triathlon. I was fit, but not healthy. I couldn't look at my son and consciously say I would be around for him if I kept on my path. So 7 years ago I found a gym that did personal training and nutrition. In six months I turned my life around and began waking up at 4:15am every morning and move my body. My goals have changed as I've become wiser, but one thing is for sure, I'm in control of my story now. I've got two boys, 10 and 4, and I lead by example every day. Some days are harder than others, but I just keep the momentum going.
