BeautySub Update
I just received this email from BeautySub. I’m assuming some of you did as well. They claim they have improved the quality and are now as good as Chromaluxe. I’m really interested to see if this is true. I may place a small order with them at some point. Apparently they improved the hardness which hopefully means they won’t scratch as easily. If that’s true it will be a major improvement along with surface clarity. An issue I always had was the coating often looked like is was sprayed over something so there would be small spots on the blanks that you could see in the light. If these issues are fixed and the prices are decent with tariffs then they will be a good place to order from again

I’ve only ordered Chromaluxe blanks locally. How much of a difference is there in price compared to BeautySub? Is it really worth it?

@Mark Ziggas - is there a way to adjust the image in the Epson Edge Print rip or would you make your adjustment in Photoshop and resend to the rip?

You guys have GOT to get one of these, for so many reasons. It's a pizza peel. First, no gloves needed when handling hot material. Second, much less chance of ghosting within the hot print as you're trying to remove the item from the heat press. It's aluminum, 16" x 20", & it's cheap... $28 or so from Amazon. Simply slide underneath your printed item & transport it to your cooling rack. Basically you won't disturb the sub paper that's taped to your work. Again, less chance of ghosting. (This is an Amazon stock image, but imagine your project in place of the bread. 😄) I've used one since 2019 & love it!!!

Newbie question: How long should you let it cool before taking the transfer paper off?

@Mark Ziggas - thanks for the comment Mark.
Press and blank size and F570 paper.
I anticipate getting a Kilo 32"x 40" press but it leads me to ask: as my Epson F570 has a max dimension of 24", will it sufficiently cover a 24" blank, or will i have a white edge problem? Rush, I believe that you wrote that you have a 24x32 Kilo. How do 24" blanks work for you? I invite any thoughts before I pull the trigger on the press please.

I'm in the process of purchasing the Epson F6470 44".......I bit the bullet and went with the larger printer. I hastily bought the f570 and was disappointed when I realized I couldn't print 24". I have the George Knight DK32AP press which is 32x26. The largest blank I'll be able to press is 30x24.

Is there a cheaper printer I can start with? Or should I bite the bullet and just get the epson F570? I ordered the smaller heat press to start. Thanks in advance

I have an Epson EcoTank ET-15000 unopened box that I'd like to sell if anyone is interested. You'd still have to buy sub ink. It's currently retailing for $600 on B&H. I'm asking for $300, I'll even pick up the shipping. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested.

Hi all, I'm Brian. I just purchased an Epson f6470 and a 32x26 GeoKnight heat press. I'm hoping this group will help me get up to speed quickly.
